Location is perfect. Coffee, restaurants and lots of shopping right out the front door. Fun room to spend time in…each room is uniquely decorated. There is a lovely side porch to relax in. Keyless entry made it easy. My second time here. I will stay again!

Small room, but had everything we needed.

This completely renovated city block includes the Perth County Inn. This is one of the best hotel properties I have ever visited in Canada. I love the no front desk approach. You open the front door and your room with your own personal digital code. I had room 1832, river view. The decor and furnishings in the room were both eclectic and of great quality. The wifi was flawless. You can see this property, whenever possible, encourages local suppliers and manufacturers first. The size of my room as well as the bathroom was very adequate and the shower was large. No hitting your elbows on the wall in the shower here! The bed and pillows were top notch. Although I did not see anyone, I was communicating by text with Bruce the owner. Had anything gone wrong, he was easy to reach. Stratford is my favourite small city in Ontario and the Perth County Inn is a must. I did not drive in, but parking is widely available. And Hartmann's, the coffee shop in the property is really awesome, So, a big yes to this hotel!

Clean, cozy rooms with lots to do around the building! Steps to amazing coffee, food and shots. We were greeted by the owner when we arrived and shown around. We can’t wait to return.

Perfect location for theatres and dining. Bruce was a fantastic host! A must stay!

Parking was close and available. Mini had too many obstacles (chair, small table) in it, that made movement in the night challenging. Coffee maker and tv needed some instructions for use.

Location was perfect to enjoy all downtown Stratford has to offer. The room was fantastic. Really appreciated the owner noticing us looking for parking. He actually ran down the street to call us back to the property so we could have a spot right behind the inn.

Very unique and creative inn, just the kind of place we love. Evidence everywhere of the thought put into decorating and maintaining this inn. Close to everything. Owner and manager kind and thoughtful. If you want a cookie-cutter chain hotel this is not for you. If you want a one-of-a-kind small inn with intimate rooms you will love the Perth County Inn. Checking in is easy as long as you follow the very specific instructions faithfully. Go and enjoy! 🌺

Very well located along the river and the main drag in town. Clean and pleasant with some character in each room.

Wonderful stay … room was well equipped, clean, bed was very comfortable. Patio was so relaxing! Perfect location to enjoy the river, attend the theatres & to downtown. The suite was well maintained and very clean.

Excellent location. Quiet. Found silverfish in bathroom. TV mounted on wall was most inconveniently placed: I bumped into it three times. Only three parking spots and they were all taken - had to park at public metred lot some distance away.

Was a great evening, cool place!

Positive: well located - walking distance to theatres, restaurants, gardens and the Thames River. There is no staff on site - however when the outdoor lock had been made inaccessible with the code for the door, the owner was on the ball and sent someone down to let us in and fix the problem. I'm happy it did not occur at 11 pm. Negative: not as pictured on the website. We stayed in the 'Air Studio' which is actually the basement level with a patio walk out to the street The floor is painted cement. and the duct work is exposed - very industrial. The bed is a murphy bed and was not very comfortable. It was like sleeping in a kitchen. The photosyou have on Expedia is not representative of the room

Wonderful location. Nice kitchen. Parking not a problem. Despite Bruce’s continued insistence when we arrived, we had not (and still haven’t) received by text or email (and we DID check our junk mail folder) the access codes. And we both phoned and emailed the inn earlier in the day asking about them, but had no response. Fortunately, we ran into Bruce just as we arrived. His phone was dead and he couldn’t reach the property manager to confirm our reservation, but he trusted us, even though we failed to bring with us evidence of the reservation. Bruce did a nice job pointing out various establishments (coffee shops, etc,) nearby. A shower/bathtub was advertised. It was shower only. Air conditioning was advertised, but it less than satisfactory. There was an efficient room AC unit in the main living area, but nothing in the bedrooms, where sleeping was uncomfortable. Had there been screens on the windows, we could have opened them up to cooler evening air. The inn should consider fans in the bedrooms. The bedroom with no closet has no dresser, hooks, etc. for clothes. Just a luggage rack. Our fire alarm went off 11:45 pm one evening. Rapid response from Bruce and manager disconnected it for us. (Reportedly a dying battery.) Good job!

I was a little nervous about the “no check-in desk” (only emailed codes for the main entry and room doors) but it all worked out fine. The room was decorated interestingly. The scent of the soap/Shampoo was not for us, but the staff came minutes after we emailed them to remove it. Coffee shop is great. Location can’t be beat. Owner sat out on the porch one day chatting with guests. Friendly guy!

We were in Stratford to see a show. We arrived early and were allowed to park prior to checking in. After our show we met Bruce, the owner and he kindly showed us our room and explained some of the amenities the inn had to offer. The room, despite being on the smaller size, was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bed was quite comfortable as were the two chairs. The shower had decent water pressure. There were lots of add ons. Coffee and tea in the room, lots of extra towels, several hangers; umbrellas (just in case), smart tv, and mini fridge. There’s a nice patio with comfortable seating where you can enjoy your coffee or an evening drink. The attached coffee shop opens early and there’s a connected bar/lounge for the evening. We were in walking distance to the Avon Theatre and many restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay again and check out a different themed room.

This was our third time staying g at this beautiful property. We love exploring the playful and whimsical touches that make each room unique and specially. The location is perfect and the owner is warm and friendly - what more can you ask for!!!!

This apartment was beautifully located for access to shopping, dining, walking paths along the lake and for at least the Avon Theatre. The a/c worked great, shower pressure and temp great and beds comfortable. Lots of room for four people to spread out, sleep comfortably, cook and dine and play games. Host was friendly and helpful and parking was no problem.
