2 sleepless nights… noisy corridors and paper thin walls ! Old worn rooms and could have been cleaner ! Lovely staff however …but will never stay there again !

The hotel was warm and clean. The parking is convenient. It’s very close to the centre. Staff have always been friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s good for short stays

Basic hotel but Not enough parking

Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and warm. The location is central. The discount for parking in the public car park rather than the hotel car park was very reasonable. The car park was just as close as the hotel car park but with lots more space.

It was terrible as it was meant to be a king size bed, honestly you kept pushing the 2 beds together as they were coming apart, the walls were plaster board as you could hear the party on the otherside's conversation, children running all over the place making noise that you could not sleep, the floors were creeking from the bedroom to the bathroom, you could hear the couple upstairs as the ceiling was very low. So overall a terrible experience, i would not go there again or advise anyone to stay there.

Our room was on ground floor with uncomfortable beds and noisy. With respect to breakfast, variety was good. However, the water for the tea was cold and the floor quite sticky due to oil drips creating a trip hazard. The location of the hotel is very convenient to get to the high street and shopping. Free parking was appreciated.

Quiet and clean rooms. Didn’t use the Wi-Fi. Nice powerful shower. Tv good. Overall a great place to stop overnight.

This property was overall clean but really really old. The faucet had one side for hot and one for cold very inconvenient. The floor creeks loudly and the walls are thin. When I was in the bathroom I heard a super loud weird noise inside, it was really creepy. If you remove the negative, this hotel was a good size, good price, overall clean and in a good location to walk to the shops.

The hotel is in need of a refurb. The beds are lumpy, rooms/ bathrooms old, there is no sound insulation and rooms were very hot. It is ok if you need a quick stopover but would not recommend for a longer stay. Positives, are the location, just on the back of Watford high street, and the water pressure which was surprisingly good.

Convenient hotel 5 minutes walk into the centre of Watford. Basic rooms but clean and spacious. Stayed here quite a few times due to it's location

It was a convenient place to stay within walking distance if my destination the next day.. clean quiet stay

We are appalled however at the state of the room that was given to us when we arrived on Saturday evening. - There was a used condom wrapper on the shelf next to the spare pillows. - The bedsheets had make up stains on it and hairs in the bed clothes. - The bathroom was full of stains. (Please find images attached) We received a new room for our trouble, but felt deeply unsettled about the quality of cleanliness for this building. The Best Western franchise guarantees cleanliness as part of its promise. This was not upheld at all. This is unacceptable and we will be expecting some sort of compensation as soon as possible.

Hotel’s okay. Just stank of smoke. I would recommend using a high grade air purification system and potential replacement of furniture to get rid of this smell

It is absolutely beyond me how this place has more than 1 star. Was supposed to stay here for two nights on the weekend. But didn’t even last an hour. When we arrived to check in, there was a man who we dealt with, and everything seemed to be going well, directed through the door to our room. Our key card doesn’t work however to get into the hall way… the man tells us it must be that we put the keycard near our phone. I mean I’ve only walked 15 feet, I don’t think I did but ok. Returned for a second keycard which worked for about 15 minutes. The chap tells us that we have definitely been putting it by our phones. We haven’t! He repeats. “Yep, definitely you put it by your phone. the shower has no curtain at all… a small square to wash in and nothing to stop the water going everywhere. This has means the room must be getting very wet. Which has resulted in the bathroom having mould around the shower. We checked out the rest of the room and the bed is two single beds pushed together that wouldn’t even stay together without rolling apart. Also I have stayed in a hostel with a more comfortable bed than this. After raising concerns with the guy on the desk, I was told our room was the only one available, they did have one more but it would’ve been a downgrade..! Noisy room as on floor level can hear outside I booked a premier inn 5 minutes around the corner at Croxley Green. £3 a night parking. Absolutely 100% worth the extra £20.
