To get a stay this cheap in the first instance (£35) right by Piccadilly, I was surprised but not expecting much. It was beyond my expectations, very big room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. I’ll stay here again when I’m in Manchester for sure

but, wifi service is terrible. How is possible a six floor Hotel can’t afford high quality wireless routers? During our 3 nights stay in the sixth floor, we only had wifi a few minutes a day, we had to go to reception or commercial locals around to search for wifi. They said they would fix it but never happened how is this possible if most of their clients are foreign people that need wifi? Also they don’t do room service unless you stay more than 4 nights. We had to ask for toilet paper and change of towels in the front desk.

The walls are thin and the family room next door to mine was being used by a group of young people who were up until 4am after a night out in Manchester. Staff did tell them to be quiet, at my request, but be aware that this is a busy central hotel. The bathroom shower did not work ( bathrooms are very basic). Rooms were also unheated. While this is one of the more budget hotels, I felt it was over priced and felt more like a hostel.

This Hotel was a great hotel a few years ago and we always enjoyed our time there.On this visit I was surprised to find a lot of the little extras such as Tissue’s, Shower gels,just the little extras that made it special.The Hotel just needs updating and it will be the perfect place to visit for its so central to the centre of town and the main Train Station.
