I was here for a conference and awards dinner so for me staying at the hotel was convenient. I didn’t book breakfast due to the cost but it looked nice. Nice room although was a bit surprised that in an accessible room there was a bath/shower rather than walk in shower, although I didn’t need an accessible room, that’s just what I ended up with.

The pool is narrow - smaller than it looks in the photos - but OK if you want to swim some lengths. I waited too long to be checked in, 2 members of staff seemed to be doing other things behind the desk, instead of checking people in.

One lift broken and had long waits to use the others. No power sockets or phone charging next to bed. Cloud 23 only available for those making reservations- hotel guest should have priority (like they used to).

The room had a terrible smell, when we tried to report the issue we were passed through to three different people, eventually the night manager spoke to us, his only comment was “What do you want me to do about it?” This was the worst level of customer service I have ever experienced - absolutely appalling

The hotel room had a strong, damp smell when walking into the room, which stayed during the duration of my stay. The room was freezing at night, even though the heating on the Air Con was at the highest level. The cleaner also left a long hair in the basin, which wasn't nice, and the toilet roll holder was hanging off. All in all pretty disappointing given the reputation of this hotel
