So this is a hotel at a service station - it’s cheap, clean and I found it to be comfortable.
The rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need - there were some bits that were a little rough around the edges - the taps kinda looked like they’d been through the wars but the shower worked, the heater worked and all in all, decent enough for a cheap hotel near London.
The staff deserve a big mention - very polite and helpful, a credit to their company.

We had to change rooms due to really strong sewage smell. The lady at reception was really helpful. Most of the lights in the bedroom didn't work andthe bed was rock solid so we didn't have a good night's sleep. The motorway is also quite loud.

Stayed here a good few time now and the place could really do with a bit of TLC starting to look run down and beds not comfy like an elephant slept on them

Unfortunately there was an awful smell in the bathroom.
There was a fair amount of dust in both bathroom and bedroom.
There was no plug in sink.
The black out curtains didn’t actually cover the window.

Trued to cancel the booking 8 days before my stay and The Ramada wouldnt cancel. This cost me a lot of money. Never staying there again

First time staying at the Ramada South Mimms. Was ok have stayed in better for similar price. Rooms felt a bit dated, no usb sockets near bed or plugs...the 13amp which was near the bed didnt work! ☹️
Also prefer a non fixed shower head which this room had however shower was pretty powerful.
Funnily enough the towels were a big plus! They were very soft and good sizes as well as the bathroom.
Room was clean and the added touch of a fridge was good also as not many hotels have them as standard.

Hotel was easy to find. Plenty of parking. Easy to use if disabled . Sum up. It was a room. Double bed. Kettle and tea/ coffee.
With the services right next door it was easy to get food as well.

The reception staff were excellent. Very polite and helpful. We didn't actually see any other staff. Position wise the hotel is very good and there are decent food options within the service station. The room was clean and spacious although somewhat tired. We would definitely stay here again
