Fantastically gracious staff - at breakfast the following morning the desk clerk handed me 25 euro saying I had dropped it in the lobby the night before! Wonderful

Tiny rooms, unclean carpet in the rooms, AC not working, hair dryer runs only for 30-ish seconds (cooldown period of 4-5 minutes). Staff was not helpful in fixing AC at around 9:30 pm. Some explanation they gave - multiple rooms use same compressor. So if any one room changes “mode” on their remote, all other rooms lose cooling, and that they cannot disturb guests to address it. Very poor experience.

Very friendly staff, amazing front desk and good breakfast. Walking around is enjoyable. Simple, but clean and quiet room.

This is what you would expect - an old French hotel near the train station. Small rooms and a tad funky. But it has been renovated somewhat and painted up and well maintained. The guy at the desk was outstanding. So it is fine. You can definitely stay here. Just maybe not on your honeymoon. Also it is right by the main shopping district, not the touristic beach area. Lots of dining options. But not the swankier restaurants you will find nearer the water.

This hotel had a prime location very close to the Nice gare which was convenient for travelling to nearby towns like Monaco and Eze. It was also walkable from the central area of Nice and the beach. However, the first night we were there the AC wasn't on, so we had a lot of trouble sleeping with the heat. The wifi didn't work in our room whatsoever so I had to walk outside the room down a floor to use it which was a little inconvenient. For the price it was great but could be better with better wifi and AC.

I thought it was going to be a nice hotel from the pictures. The pictures do not look like the hotel. I said so but no refund was offered. I wanted to go book somewhere else. I DID NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT. I WAS ITCHY and had WELTS on my arms and back. What was going on? Then they have the nerve to charge me 15 euros more for a window. I did not request a basement room. who would request that? They took my visa and charged me. Hotels did nothing to ask for a refund when I called at 3 am to say it was a terrible hotel. They were very sorry but could do nothing. That is ridiculous. They can provide a refund or give me back my 10 rewards. It was so disappointing. NEVER book this hotel. ALSO it is not in a nice area. If I add a photo you will see broken switch plates, a horrible, smelly rug on the floor, a view of a roof and pipes, (with a $23 fee to see, cracks on the doors and sills, and my welts. The bedding had holes in it. I am sorry Hotel du Midi. You were horrible to me and I will now tell the truth. You stole my 15 euros and my sleep . It was so disappointing. Why didn't you just offer me a refund? Don't show pictures of a nice hotel when it is not. Go to Sonder Mozart and see a nice hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located near Nice-Ville station. Perfect if you’re planning on taking multiple day trips from Nice.

The location is good as it’s a short t walk to the train station and walkable to the sites and beaches. Besides that, the lobby was renovated as per the photos yet our room and hallways had old carpeting and stucco walls. The bathroom had a small shower, no fridge as stated in the website yet it was nice to have a balcony.

Great location - very close to the train station, tram stop, main shopping street and within easy walk of many attractions and the beach (approx 20 min walk). Quiet and peaceful with very helpful and friendly staff. The bed was comfy and we had everything we needed. The decor is a little tired but we weren't bothered by this.

A bit confusing arriving from the train station although it’s a very short walk once you figure out how to get under the overpass😂 Also, we had a very light breakfast thinking it was included but when we checked out there’s a charge of 12 euros each.

I loved how there was a 24hr reception, as it made us feel super safe, and was really convenient for checking in. We got there earlier than check-in and they managed to give us our room straight away! Definitely not guaranteed, but was lovely that we had it straight after we landed. The staff were all really nice, and made us feel welcome. Overall, we loved our stay here, and would recommend it for a few nights in Nice, near the station, and only a short walk from local restaurants and shopping!

Room was basic but clean and well maintained.Went to try breakfast but very basic and not worth the cost.Is a decent walk from the main promenade but right next to main railway station.No tea/coffee making facilities in room either

Rooms are dated but clean. Reception was friendly and helpful. Very close to the station.

This place was not for me. I think the 8.0 rating is very generous. I forfeited a night and changed my lodging. It was clean but had a strange smell. It’s also pretty far from the city center in a part of town that was not very nice. I don’t recommend for a solo woman traveler.

Great hotel to stay at while spending time in Nice. Was close to the train station, nice old town and was Surrounded by many restaurants and food options too. The room was a good size as well. The bathroom was fairly small but for two people, it was manageable.

The walls are very thin in the rooms and you can hear everything in the hallways. I didn’t get much sleep because the cleaning staff primarily congregated outside my door for hours talking very loudly/yelling back and forth. I complained once to front desk but it didn’t stop. The bags of linens always in the hallways isn’t very attractive either.

Spotty WiFi, although when I asked at the front desk, he rebooted it and it worked for a while. Did not work again the next morning, but we were leaving. Thin walls, could hear our neighbors talking in the next room. They left before 6am the next morning which I know because the sound of them shutting their room door woke us up. Conveniently located.

Amazing small hotel 2 minutes away from the train station (Nice Ville) and close to Jean Médecin avenue (with a tram line). A small fridge and A/C; I only wish there was a kettle to make a tea/coffee.
