Great service from the receptionist. Very accommodating with our requests. I do find it a little weird to have to go down to reception to ask for toilettries, but not much to complain. Wouldn't mind staying here again.

This is my 3rd time stay in this hotel and always feeling comfortable when I visited Germany and had a stopover in Frankfurt. The bed is clean also the bed room. Distance only steps away from Central Station and you won't be late to catch your train schedule 🙂. I always like this hotel and recommended for short stay 1-2 days before continue travelling.

The hotel is right outside the Berlin Main Train station and it is very close to all random checks to this hotel-main transaction. The hotel has easy access to airports (it is so cheap from Tegel (TXL) airport). Overall the room was clean (even though the toilet bowl would need to be cleaned more). The hotel has kitchen sharing facility and the receptions were helpful. I will definitely stay again.

Hotel is good maintenance, clean. There is a guess kitchen, so we can cook to save money 😀. Hotel is near to Supermarket Penny, Sky Plaza Hotel (There is DM cheap market, and Rewe Market to buy fresh food), and Train Station. If we walk further we will find more many supermarket bigger like Aldi, Rewe, etc. The Receptionist Staff, some of them very helpful, smart, friendly. Especially Jessica was so smart and fully helping. Best Staff 👍. Cleaning services was so helpful, which is informed me that I can get bed sheet etc free. But when I arrived at first time, the young lady in receptionist was not nice, and not informative. She didn't give information that Guess must ask bedsheets, towel etc at reception. If I didn't ask kitchen key, she didn't gave me. I saw she just focus on doing romantic with a man, her colleague in desk reception. Not give best service to guess.

Location is good, the hostel is not far from Hauptbahnhof. Easy to walk to central of the city. Friendly staff and they have willingness to seek help. Beds is too small and bedspread is not clean well.

The hotel is very close to the main station. This is the first hotel after about 10 years of travelling who gave me physical key (not card) 😀 which baffled me at first. Room was clean, comfort was adequate (the pillows were super thin and it was double bed made by 2 single beds). Bathroom was super small (the curtain type). I think this hotel is okay for short stay and if you’re gonna spend most of your time outside.

    How to Get There

Germany has numerous airports that welcome millions of visitors each year. Frankfurt Airport is the biggest and busiest in the country while the Munich Airport is the second busiest. They are the two major airports in the country that serve the central and southern parts, respectively.

If you’re on the eastern side, Berlin Tegel is the airport where the majority of travellers arrive. Other airports found here include the ones in Dresden and Leipzig. From these airports, catching public transport going to the city centre is convenient.

    Getting Around

Many of the big cities and towns in Germany enjoy excellent public transport systems. But two major cities, Berlin and Munich, stepped up and created a single network of different transportation (buses, trams, U-Bahn (underground, subway) trains and S-Bahn (suburban) trains) to make it more convenient to get around their areas.

It’s good to note that Germany is also a bike-friendly country where locals enjoy biking for leisure, doing errands, or commuting. Meanwhile, there are taxis available but it’s not recommended given the efficient transport system in Germany. They are also more expensive and can be slower, depending on traffic. Buses, on the other hand, are also common in many German cities. They run on intervals and have restricted services especially in the evening.

    Things to Do in Germany

With 43 cultural and 3 natural UNESCO World Heritage sites, more than 6,000 museums, centuries-old architecture, and numerous natural attractions, travellers will never run out of things to do in Germany. Berlin, Germany’s capital as well as cultural heart, is home to several notable tourist spots including the Brandenburg Gate, which symbolizes the reunification of East and West Berlin; Reichstag Building, home of the German parliament; the famous Berlin Wall; the Museum Island; and the Berlin Cathedral Church.

Other significant sites to see in Germany is the Cologne Cathedral in Cologne, the Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, Neuschwanstein Castle in Füssen, Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Rhine Valley, Sanssouci Park and Palace in Potsdam, and Heidelberg Old City to name a few.

Oktoberfest is also another reason to visit Germany, especially in, you know it, October. This annual festival celebrated in Munich is held for two weeks until the first Sunday of said month. Aside from trying its world-famous beer during this festivity, it’s also a great time to treat yourself to fine German cuisine. Don’t forget to sample its popular bratwurst sausage, knodel, but also the pretzel and black forest.

And they don’t scrimp on quality as Germans take pride in providing clean and neat accommodations for their guests.
