Convenient for Festival Theatre and Waverley Station. Just a short walk to Princes Street.

Really comfortable room. Excellent service throughout, good breakfast - and very easy for the train station / city centre.

Excellent location

Love how big the bedroom size was especially where the hotel was located. The staff were very helpful and polite. The bathroom that we used could be better (ie toilet and the shower area). It would have been very nice and helpful if there was more information about transportation and parking around the area on the website. Over all I would use this services again, if need be. And thanks for having us.

The location is perfect, but unfortunately, the surrounding area has construction, which is often loud. The hotel itself has construction on it. The staff was polite and helpful. The room was clean.

Wonderful stay

Booked as a Xmas present, have stayed before and was extremely disappointed. Had to move rooms because theee was a foul smell from the first room, think it was the drains. Windows in the room were filthy. Renovations being done to the elevators and scaffolding outside so overall the hotel looked like it was in need of a lot of repairs, the rooms are expensive - I think it’s unfair to charge these prices when you don’t get the usual Hilton experience. Ordered poached eggs for breakfast and they were cold. Won’t be back’

Located right at the mouth of the Royal Mile with lots of shopping and dining options all around. The property is undergoing renovation though, with quite unsightly scaffolding across the front facade. Access to the hotel from Waverly station was a nightmare - we had to trudge up a winding road hauling four suitcases; a cab driver refused to take us to the hotel as it is so near! The stafff at the front desk later told us of an alternative route to the station (along Princes road) which made our journey back so much easier. It would be good to inform prospective guests about this route on the hotel website. We’d booked a room for four adults, which was a little tight (two double beds). Next time, we’d probably opt for two rooms instead. Amenities in the room were to usual Hilton standards. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. More bottled water would have been good too; wee ended up buying our own.

Lovely welcome. Baggage drop off service before check in and after checkout. Very good breakfast. Room great, huge beds. Fabulous location. Recommended

Didnt think the room was worth over £500 for 2 nights. Rooms dated and headboards are marked. Nothing special and ive stayed in better low budget accommodation.

The assistant night manager was extremely dismissive and curt with us. We did not feel welcome at this hotel, for the price I will NEVER stay with Hilton again.

I wouldn’t have opted to stay there had I been aware of the work being done to the property. One of the lifts was out of order. The whole hobby area had temporary walls. Our room had a dangerous, cracked and loose tile in front of the sink.

Amazing

The hotel is in a fabulous location and has the potential to be grand and impressive but, at the moment is a building site. Check in was disorganised and I was sent away 3 times before my room was ready nearly an hour after check in time. The room was nice, clean and spacious but the bed was not comfortable and every time next door used their bathroom it sounded like the water was flooding through our ceiling! The bar staff were lovely and very helpful but I'm not sure we'll be back.

The hotel was in a great location and it was easy to check in/out. Staff were friendly. The room was good for the price, however the floor was uneven and squeaky. The furniture was cramped in some areas. The walls are quite thin and it was easy to hear conversation of others who were in the rooms next door. There is currently a lot of renovation going on which we were unaware of so if you don’t mind gaps in ceilings and ladders you’ll be ok.

Room are clean with a quality feel to them however, they are now starting to show the sign of their age through wear and tear, headboards are worn out, finishings and furnishings are showing signs significant wear.

Very well located for the sights of Edinburgh. The hotel work and road work made it a little tricky. It was a great property and I would stay there again
