Batam Harbour Boutique Hotel and SPA , Harbour Bay

Nice and comfort to stay circlemart just in front of hotel and 5 mins walk to Harbourbay ferry terminal.

I have been a regular to this hotel, from pre-covid time's 9/10 fantastic good service to today's 6/10 average service quality. Reception service level has shown some improvement over the last few months when I was there, then there are still room to do more & if not better (comparing 2019 and before). Aug 2022 trip, I rate the hotel a 4/10. Sept 2022 trip, I'll rate the hotel 4/10. Oct 2022 trip, I'll rate a 5/10. Nov 2022, its a 6/10. Dec 2022, it'd be a 5.5/10. Jan 2023, CNY stay was better at 6.5/10. Feb 2023, I rate hotel at 6/10. Mar 2023 which is this one, I'd rate them a 6/10. I think the service level of the reception has to do with the very high turn over rate of the receptionist staff in the hotel. They do not work there for long enough to understand guest's need and the really good ones who can understand were gone. Step number one for good service, a sincere smile. Something I rarely seen in this hotel at the front desk when I checked in on day 1. Yes, I do not speak Indonesia bahasa, hence body gesture is important. Human friendliness is one of the key thing the front desk need. Step number two, receptionist needs to communicate with one another better & more efficiently. Room guest already request for late check out by 1245pm and ask receptionist not to call in-room as I will be in the middle of a massage session. It was agreed upon but they still call at 1215pm for guest to check out. This was a misunderstanding & lack of communication between 2 reception staffs as the 1st one fail to inform the 2nd one when the request were made. (I cancelled the massage session half-way through due to the disturbance) This case happen 2 months ago though. Step number three, receptionist should at least allow one of the room to be able to check-in first if there is a group of guests who booked few rooms before the actual check-in time so the group at least have a place to temporary keep their luggage for the time being. (I have a group of friends who booked 2 rooms and arrive at around 115pm Indo time but was told to wait until 2pm for check in at the reception area) Price of same room I stayed in is getting higher & higher over my last 6 month's stay. I truly hope to see the price increase can also means the levelling up of the hotel front desk service/s too. Another thing is hotel should have at least 1 or 2 driver on standby for guest need, like during pre-covid time. While hotel no longer offer shuttle service during weekdays, they should at least have that on standby or have extra staffs who can double as a driver. All in all, this hotel used to have the capability to adapt to the need of most staying-guest but today, most if not all staying guest/s are required to adapt to the hotel 's operation instead. The plus-point of the hotel is room is big and most room has a balcony. Other than that when it comes to service, food choices, facilities and location, they're really just average in Batam. I'd say this could be a good hotel for local Indonesians and maybe even foreign hotel guest who plan to stay for only a night or 2. For regular Batam visitor who are staying or holidaying for a longer period of time, not-very-suitable as visiting any places of interest or shopping mall on the island will require a taxi. Money changer rate around hotel area also offers pretty lousy rate for tourist too. Speaking the above from the perspective of a regular guest who has stayed in this hotel on a monthly basis since 7 years ago.

Toilet was full of flies. Kettle was spoilt.

I had the most pleasant stay here, me and my friends amaze with the room, quite big and clean and also the balcony very useful:) as me and friends are smoker we can chill on the balcony. The place also near to everywhere. I recommend this place to stay, deluxe room can be occupied with 3 persons.

Best hotel with affordable price, all staffs, breakfast, all is great! Will be back!

The room was nice but the bath room was a bit dirty as well as the outside room which is used for smoking area. The floor was dusty. The room complimentay wasn't well prepares.

Honestly I didn't expect anything, but the room was clean and good, food was delicious. I will come back 😁
