It was a brief stay on my way to take my eldest back to her ‘pondok’ … and parting with her has never been easy. Thanks to very kind and helpful staff members who assisted since I arrived (after 5hrs of traffic jams) up until I had a difficult time ordering a taxi to go to the train station after I checked out. Oh plus the superb Iga Bakar as my super late dinner, a room service menu delivered in a blink. All that makes it a very comforting transit, I must say!

My family like some of the breakfast items very much and we asked for some servings to go and they happily prepared them for us. Very kind and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean. I love the breakfast that they are served, it has various menus and it has good taste. Also, The staff over there is friendly. Grand HAP maybe is not a big hotel but the facilities is very complete, there are swimming pool, fitness center and spa. I would stay in Grand HAP if I visit solo again.

If you want to buy traditional snack or oleh2, you can go to Pasar Gede with becak (aprox. Time only 5 minutes) the only minus here: The pool depth is 1,40 m from corner to corner. Not kids friendly if you have babies or toddler. But beside that, I would love to come again to this Hotel:).

Monoloog Hotel Solo
I recently stayed at Monoloog while participating in the Mangkunegaran Run, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient, making check-in a breeze – which was much appreciated after a long journey. The location of the hotel was perfect for the event. It was conveniently situated near race village, making race day logistics so much easier. Being able to get to the starting line without any hassle significantly reduced pre-race stress. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, which is crucial before a big race! Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.

The Alana Hotel and Convention Center - Solo by ASTON
We have a bad experience during our stay. The lift has a small capacity and one lift is out of service so we need to wait around 15 minutes every time we need to use the lift. The remote TV in our room is broken, and there was no towel in our room. When we called to complain they sent us only one towel so we had to call again.
