J8 Hotel Singapore

The room is so small. No window. It feels like a prisoner. The room makes me traumatic. Very inhumane. I really hate it. Cannot sleep. The TV is not working. The fridge is not cold. The room smells of cigarettes. The breakfast is not good.

I have always loved staying in this hotel! The overall experience is so nice, from the people, amenities, & the breakfast. Every time I come back is a new, pleasant adventure! Thank you so much!

Nice budget hotel. The room is small but it is okfor Singapore's standard hotel. The front office staff is friendly especially the girl who work at the front desk when we checked out very early in the morning. She was very helpful to get us a taxi to the airport. Breakfast was ok.

Clean, warm friendly staff, good meals, and strategic place near mustafa and MRT, good for stay, even small room, but nice, no laundry service

This hotel is quiet near MRT lavender. Many great food here and so many hawker in walking distance. We have breakfast package here. Surprisingly its good. They provide Vietnamese breakfast and it taste great!

In short, there were many problems with the facilities though the staffs were trying to fixed them all. I booked 2 rooms (1 for my parents, 1 for me). My parents room had a broken toilet light and non-cooling air conditioner. My room did not have a hair dryer. All of them were fixed within the day, however the biggest problem was that my room 's toilet could not be flushed after pooping. I told the cleaning staff in the morning but it wasn't fixed when I returned to my room in the evening. When I talked to the receptionist, at first they offered a lower priced room, but after negotiation, they agreed to let me change to a bigger room.

I like this hotel. Good enough for this price. Surrounded by a lot of foods. Walking distance to Lavender MRT, Mustafa Centre, also nearby bus stop.

It was OK for all stuff provided in the room, but the bed sheet and the blanket made me itching so I told the front that I need them to change the sheet and blanket. When I was back in the evening the room was made but the bed sheet and blanket were still not changed (it had the ink stain and it was still there the same as it was). Wall is so thin and cannot keep any noise, I heard some guy talking loud at very late night (maybe they were back from the club). Overall is not bad for the location and water bottle provided in the room.

With the cheap price point I know I should've expect nothing from it like really my expectations is low but this one is really bad. I choose this hotel because the price point is quite low but the reviews is good like the room is clean the staff is friendly and all that stuff but when I arrived at the hotel to check in, things start to get wrong they said they couldn't find the booking under my name, the system just couldn't find my name and the staff start to get annoyed and mumbling and I have no idea what's going on but after wait around 10 minutes somehow they find my booking, okay weird way to start a day. Later after that I go to my room to place my luggage but when I open the door the weird smell come from inside the room and the overall condition of the room is very poorly maintained. The room is very dull and got this wet rug kind of smell I don't know I couldn't describe it, and the if you look at the corner of the room so many dust like the room is not being cleaned for a days and the ceiling of the room got me speechless there's many of mold. I ask the receptionist if I can exchange the room but the lady start to grumble that I can't change because all room is full. I should've stayed for 3 days but I couldn't take it anymore so I left on second day. I don't know what happened maybe because covid situation or what but this one is the worst experience I've ever been.
