"One of the go-to destinations south of Metro Manila, kick-start a great adventure in chilly Tagaytay! Zip down with a scenic view at Sky Ranch or ride the tallest ferris wheel in the country, Sky Eye. Don’t miss the iconic view of Taal Volcano while having a picnic at Picnic Grove. More about Tagaytay City

A Brief Overview of Tagaytay City

Tagaytay, officially the City of Tagaytay, lies in the province of Cavite, Philippines. Situated just 59 kilometers away from Manila via Aguinaldo Highway and only 39 kilometers from Imus, it serves as a convenient retreat from the bustling capital, offering relief from the city's heat. Not to mention, Tagaytay's popularity stems from its stunning scenery and cooler climate, attributed to its altitude. Overlooking Taal Lake in Batangas, it provides captivating views of Taal Volcano Island, visible from various vantage points throughout the city.

As one of the Philippines popular tourist destinations, Tagaytay welcomes you with its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance, offering activities like horseback riding around the volcano, thrilling ziplining, and refreshing hikes to its crater. Whether seeking adventure or relaxation, Tagaytay's serene atmosphere, unique attractions like the Pink Sisters' Convent and Puzzle Mansion, gives you an unforgettable escape into nature's embrace.

How to Get to Tagaytay City

There are various transportation options available to reach Tagaytay City. Here are some convenient ways to get there:

1. Airplane

To get to Tagaytay by airplane, you'll fly into Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, the closest airport. From there, you can hop into a taxi, Grab car, or airport shuttle to reach Tagaytay City. The ride typically lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Keep in mind that flight ticket prices can vary based on your starting point and travel dates. So, be sure to plan accordingly and enjoy your journey to this beautiful destination.

2. Ferry or Boat

Getting to Tagaytay via ferry from Cebu or any other island in the Philippines isn't feasible due to its inland location on the shores of Taal Lake. Nonetheless, you can still reach Tagaytay from various parts of the Philippine islands through a combined journey of land and sea travel. One option entails taking a ferry from Cebu to Batangas City, a voyage spanning about 7-8 hours, offered by several ferry companies. Upon arrival in Batangas City, you can hop on a bus destined for Tagaytay City, with the bus ride lasting approximately 2-3 hours.

3. Bus or Car

To reach Tagaytay by land transportation like buses, vans, or jeepneys, you can easily find options from different points in Metro Manila such as Pasay, Cubao, and Buendia. The journey typically takes around 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic conditions. Alternatively, if you prefer more flexibility and comfort, traveling by private car is an option, especially for group travel. Just keep in mind to consider gas expenses and potential toll fees if you choose this mode of transportation. Whether by bus, van, jeepney, or private car, you'll soon find yourself amidst the scenic beauty of Tagaytay.

How to Get Around Tagaytay City

Navigating the scenic landscapes and vibrant attractions of Tagaytay City is a breeze with various transportation options available to visitors. Here are some alternatives you can take to get around Tagaytay City.

Bus

To get around Tagaytay using buses, you'll find them less frequent than jeepneys but offering a more comfortable ride, especially for longer distances within Tagaytay and nearby areas like Nasugbu. The fare varies depending on the route and distance traveled, so be sure to have some cash ready. Keep an eye out for bus stops and check the schedule to plan your journey accordingly. Whether you're exploring the sights of Tagaytay or venturing to nearby destinations, buses provide a convenient and affordable means of transportation around the area.

Tricycles or Jeepney

If you wish to get around Tagaytay with more flexibility, opt for motorized tricycles, especially for shorter trips around the city center or specific locations. These iconic Filipino vehicles are not only affordable but also readily available, making them a convenient choice. Tricycles typically follow designated routes, providing a budget-friendly means of transportation within the city. Look out for tricycle terminals or simply flag one down along the road to hop on and reach your desired destination efficiently. Whether you're exploring local attractions or heading to nearby spots, tricycles offer a convenient and accessible mode of travel in Tagaytay.

Taxis

To navigate Tagaytay via taxi, although not as abundant as tricycles or jeepneys, they provide a comfortable and convenient mode of transportation, which is ideal for larger groups or carrying luggage. Metered taxis guarantee fair pricing, ensuring you pay the right fare for your journey.

However, if you encounter non-metered taxis, it's advisable to negotiate the fare upfront to avoid any confusion later on. Look out for taxi stands or hail one on the street to easily get around Tagaytay. With taxis, you can enjoy a hassle-free ride while exploring the scenic beauty and attractions of this charming city.

Old building. Big space, feeling have ghosts! Lol. We asked higher floor but given L1, Lower Ground floor, service good, aircon good. No standard parking area, all sloping street, have coupons (can choose ruined project/napa/windmill) for dinner can be claimed at lunch, internet slow sometimes, we booked 2 rooms, then want to stay in one room, and we cannot ask to get the bed from other room. Breakfast food wasn't good on that time.

The property and service was pleasant and impressive. Amazing lobby, vicinty and staff. I was disappointed with the room tho, too small and not convinient for me. Also, they don't issue double key card, which becomes an inconvenience too. Maybe bigger rooms with higher rate are somewhat comftable.
