Bad start from the beginning of the trip. I was stuck in KLIA for more than 24hrs due to all flights from Kuala Lumpur to PDG were cancelled due to unknown reason (s). A friend of mine actually went to the hotel and seek their understanding to allow me to cancel the 1st night stay in the hotel but was refused. No choice, my friend took my photocopy passport front page to check in on my behalf and paid the deposit ($ 200,000.00). When I finally stepped into the room, it was 12/4 approx 2130hrs, the condition of the room is far from ideal. The room (4133) was dusty, there 's pests crawling on the bed and shower room (the drainage system in the shower room was BAD. I am literally standing in a puddle of water while taking my shower because the drainage system was not faulty but extremely SLOW. This room is definitely not worthy of the price I paid. The same evening, my friends & I visited the Japanese restaurant but food were not on par. Seriously it was a let down and I was disappointed. Next morning we tried the in-house breakfast and once again it was not worthy at all. Food was cold, utensils were not cleaned throughly and environment wasn't pleasant at all. The very same evening, we decided to find food outside of the hotel but due to heavy downpour we were force to have our dinner within the hotel itself again. This time round we choose the restaurant situation at ground level below the front desk. Surprisingly we were impressed by the quality and services we got from the team that night ……. Chef Danny personally cooked our order and by far that was the best meal since I arrived in Bukit Tinggi. We had a good chatted with Chef Danny and he knew what we had gone through and decided to upgrade our breakfast location to this restaurant instead of the restaurant beside the front desk reception building. Chef Danny encouraged us to give the hotel F&B another chance so that they can show us the quality of the hotel and told us that he will be on duty again tomorrow evening. As agreed and promised, we went to the same restaurant for dinner again the following evening unfortunately Chef Danny was called to the Japanese restaurant (maybe there 's important guests or big shots patronizing the Japanese restaurant, hence Chef Danny forgotten our date). Once again, it was a let down and quality of food was no where closed to what we had the night before. Will I revisit Bukit Tinggi, the answer is a definite yes but will I stay in Balcone again, it 's a definite no. Balcone management, you definitely need to up your game in order for me to give you a 2nd opportunity.
