Hotel Merdeka Madiun

This is my first time trying food in this class of hotel. The taste is great! You guys must try the food from Hotel Merdeka. Thank you Hotel Merdeka. Thank you Traveloka.

The taste of the food through room service is a bit different from usual, dry. The bathroom smells a bit unpleasant, so the bathroom door must be kept closed.

The staffs of Merdeka Madiun Hotel are all friendly. Thank you.

We arrived at the hotel at 7pm. The location is right in the middle of the city, across from Lawu Plaza, on the left there is Hypermart, on the right there is Mr. DIY. Because it was the high season for Eid holidays, the hotel was very crowded to the point that there was not enough parking space. The FO staff greeted us warmly, we were directed to take the elevator to the room on the 3rd floor. The hotel design is very old-fashioned, and it turns out that this hotel has been around since the Dutch era. The interior of the hotel is also old-fashioned, dim lighting, with rattan chairs and tables. The room is spacious but not clean, I even sneezed and smelled a musty smell indicating that the room was rarely used. Complete amenities, there is a coffee maker, the TV is flat but broken, there are lines and only national channels, aka not a smart TV yet, there is a water heater in the bathroom that is quite stable in terms of heat.. unfortunately the condition of the bathroom is quite bad, it needs renovation both on the floor and in the toilet, the flush is not good so that sometimes the water leaks non-stop. The mattress is dirty, like there is sand, even my husband who has sensitive skin feels itchy sleeping on the mattress. Please pay attention to the cleanliness in the room. Luckily there is still entertainment in the form of a view from the room window that faces the alley next to the hotel, the next morning we had time to see the fog covering the city of Madiun. The breakfast menu is actually quite varied but the quantity is not large and the taste is bland 🙏🏻 In the end we chose to walk to the center selling typical Madiun pecel even though it was a long way but we were satisfied that it tasted good. As for the children's swimming pool, it's fun but it's mostly open to the public so it's less comfortable for hotel guests

Merdeka Hotel is one of the hotels with a HISTORICAL feel. I like the old-fashioned furniture. It's as if we are in the past. Thank you HM.... keep maintaining the historical aspects.... hopefully you will continue to innovate with historical designs

Legend Hotel, but needs a renovation and improvement for the facility. Some bridges are already rusty. For the bathroom, we found spider webs and stains on the floor. The toilet also needs to be changed with another one. Overall good, only for one night, we just transited there.

The location is right in the city center, the staff is friendly and polite.

The hotel's location is very strategic in the middle of Pahlawan Street Center which is the city center. Near the plaza and to find pecel in the morning, just walk. The hotel does have an old-school vibe, there is also a swimming pool that seems to be public (but when I stayed, I didn't swim). I happened to get a room on the 2nd floor, easy access by stairs or elevator. The room space is sufficient, the AC is cold, there is also a TV, but the bathroom seems to need repair (the plusher closet doesn't close back so the water keeps coming out, the shower faucet needs repair) Overall it's according to the price because it's in the city center

The location is very strategic, maybe because it is an old hotel, it needs revitalization.

I stayed at this hotel because I was transiting from Central Java to East Java. This hotel is in a very strategic location in the middle of the city, so if you are looking for food and other necessities, it is very easy. Across the street, there is a mall next to the hotel. The condition of the hotel seems like an old hotel, maybe it should be renovated, my suggestion.
