About Art Fun PAS - Having Fun Batik
Are you ready to make your own batik? Do you want to pour your ideas and designs of traditional batik patterns or new designs right now? We will assist you in the batik process so that you will get satisfactory results according to your own design in the Having Fun Batik program.
We will make batik art together at Pendhapa Art Space. Pendhapa Art Space belongs to a sculptor named Dunadi, luckily you can also freely enjoy his sculptures on display in the gallery or in the sculpture park. Our batik class team are graduates of art universities in Yogyakarta majoring in batik, and their experience and knowledge will be shared in the batik session at Pendhapa Art Space. During this pandemic, we will provide you with hand washing facilities, a large open area, and health protocols in a clean place/environment.
In the batik class, the first thing we will do is make our own design (picture) on the fabric with a pencil, then start by applying wax to the fabric, then the next step is to give it color. The results of the batik class will be yours. This batik class takes about 2.5 hours. Don't worry, we also provide drinks and local snacks.
Our location is in Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Our location is not far from the city center and is easily accessible. If you have special requests or anything else, please let us know.

By Bus
Take the TransJogja Bus route 8 or 9 and get off at the PASTY Shelter (Jalan Bantul). Transfer to a motorcycle taxi or rickshaw to Jalan Bantul until you pass the Ring Road intersection for 850 m, turn left onto Jl. Karang Nongko for 550 m, then turn sharply left onto the slow lane of Ring Road Jl. Prof. DR. Wirjono Projodikoro for 550 m. Pendhapa Art Space is on the left.

If using a taxi:
1. From Malioboro, zero kilometer point of Jogja (10 - 20 minutes): take Jl. Panembahan Senopati for 500 m, turn right at the intersection onto Jl. Brigjend Katamso for 1.5 km, go straight at the intersection onto Jl. Parangtritis and follow the road for 2.3 km, turn right at the Ring Road intersection onto Jl. Prof. DR. Wirjono Projodikoro for 1.1 km, then take the left lane and follow the road for 300 m, Pendhapa Art Space is on the left.
2. From Tugu Yogyakarta Station (15 - 35 minutes): take Jl. Jlagran Lor for 250 m, turn left at the intersection onto Jl. Letjend Suprapto for 1.3 km, turn slightly left then right onto Jl. KH Wahid Hasyim and continue onto Jl. Suryowijayan for 1.3 km, go straight onto Jl. Bantul until you pass the Ring Road intersection for 2.1 km, turn left onto Jl. Karang Nongko for 550 m, then turn sharply left onto the Ring Road's left lane, Jl. Prof. DR. Wirjono Projodikoro for 550 m, Pendhapa Art Space is on the left.
3. From YIA Yogyakarta Airport (55 minutes - 1 hour 40 minutes): take Jl. Wates-Purworejo for 7.2 km, go straight at the junction onto Jl. Brosot-Nagung, take Jl. Srandakan, and Jl. Bantul for 41 km, turn right onto Jl. Karang Nongko for 550 m, then turn sharply left onto the Ring Road's left lane, Jl. Prof. DR. Wirjono Projodikoro for 550 m, Pendhapa Art Space is on the left.
