Actually the overall I will rate 5 star / perfect my stay in this hotel. Especially the helping of the first time check-in by the receptionist guy, Beau.. Even though he is training, but this type of people very make us as a customer feel very welcomed. All very good starts from the selection of breakfast, type of room and the location. But because I stayed there for couple days, the menu weren't changing and the same. All the problem came when I just came back from the northern light tour by boat and it's already 1 am in the morning, my room's card wasn't functioning and made me have to go ask the receptionist guy.. The receptionist guys name I didn't know.. There are two, one with skinny and wearing spectacles and One more the guy with bigger body.. They didn't want to change my card and told me that I've made a double booked for the room on the same day and I've to paid.. We got a little bit argument because why didn't the hotel guy didn't tell me on the first time i checked in. but again, i was not use impolite or higher tone to speak to them, i was only asking why not telling me. They kept repeating answer, it's not their responsibility and i've to pay. Hello it's 1.30 am in the morning and finally I've paid the amount. Eventhough it's my fault let's say, I didn't think the way he talked to me was true. They were really impolite with the tone, the face, the gesture. I was really get mad in that moment. Both of them communicating like impolite to me. After the last day, I checked out and going back, They didn't even greet me, Good morning or something else, they didn't even stand up or something (by the good hospitality skills, when you receive or saying thank you, ones should be standing). He just said thanks. (No using Sir or Mr)... But when my Fiancee walking towards them, They stood up and greet with "Good Morning" with smile face and say Goodbye.. Look the differences between this.. All was good except this kind of impoliteness.. Good Choice stay at Reykjavik !! Thanks Grand Hotel
