The best thing of Ballarat Wildlife Park is that you can feed and pat the kangaroos! I joined almost all the presentation on the day I visited. Should come early for that :) There is a guided tour as well in the morning.

Ballarat Wildlife Park is so good. Despite it being much smaller than places like the zoo, I found it much better because you got to get up close to all of the animals. There are free roaming Kangaroos which you can hand feed and Alpacas too! The croc show at 3pm was great and all the animals were well taken care of. You can easily walk around the park in 2hrs, so if you have kids or the elderly with limited attention span and/or mobility, it's quite an achievable size. I'm quite sure all of it is wheelchair/pram accessible too. If you're not from Australia and want a proper experience with native animals, this is the place!
