About Port Arthur Ghost Tour

This evening tour takes you around the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site, which is the best preserved convict site in Australia. As the sun sets, you will experience a 90-minute lantern-lit walking tour with an expert guide, who will introduce you to infamous buildings and ruins. Hear about documented ghost stories, and learn more about the thousands of departed souls throughout Port Arthur's 47-year history.

Operates daily except on Christmas Day

This guided, lantern-lit walking tour covers a total distance of two kilometres.

Children six years old and below can join the tour for free.

Children seven to 17 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.

This tour may not be suitable for children who are very young, active, and tend to suffer from nightmares. If your child is disruptive to the tour, the guide may request you to leave the tour.

This tour is not wheelchair-accessible and not suitable for guests with restriction mobility due to the limited access through the dark recesses of the heritage buildings.
