The Water Cube, or officially the Beijing National Aquatics Center, is a bubble wrapped rectangular building located at the Olympic Park in Beijing. It was built with the support of donations of overseas Chinese and it has won several international design awards. Facing the Olympic Stadium called “The Nest”, this building hosted the swimming, diving and synchronized swimming events during the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Inside the building you will be able to the see the main swimming pool where 21 world records were broken 24 times during the Olympics.
