The tour starts at 8 am from Medan directly to Brastagi, a village in the Karo highland. It takes 2 hours to reach the destination, where visitors can see two active volcanoes in the background, Sinabung and Sibayak. In Brastagi, you can also visit a fruit market, a traditional Batak Karo village, Dokan, and Gundaling Hill, a tourist attraction in Karo highland which is similar to Puncak in West Java.

From Brastagi, the tour continues to Sipiso-piso waterfall in the northern part of Toba Lake before returning to Medan.
