About Cultural Experience - Ninja Workshop

Usually covered from head to toe in dark clothing, ninjas are Japanese covert agents who undergo intense training to function as spies and assassins. In this activity, guests will learn about the life of the ninjas from feudal Japan. They will also experience a bit of ninja training with the help of an expert guide.

At the start of the workshop, each person will be taught how to properly wear the ninja training uniform called “doji”. It will be followed with lessons in “kujikiri,” a form of meditation which involves using hand gestures to calm the mind. There is a belief that it is important for ninjas to have mental strength, as much as they need their physical strength.

After preparing the mind, it’s time to learn about fighting techniques. Various ninja weapons are going to be introduced to the guests, as well as self-defence and grappling techniques. It is not only an opportunity to experience being a ninja for a day, but also a chance to improve one’s self-defence skills.
