Experience Japan's best starry skies in Achi VillageAchi Village in Nagano Prefecture, known for being selected as the top location in Japan for the brightest stars by the Ministry of the Environment (*1), offers an exceptional stargazing experience. Surrounded by mountains, the village is shielded from light pollution, providing clear skies perfect for observing the stars. During the "Starry Sky Night Tour," ride the gondola to the mountaintop at 1,400 meters! As the new moon approaches, the night sky sparkles with countless stars, and when the moon is full, you can enjoy the bright glow of first-magnitude stars and planets alongside the moon. Full Moon DAY: April 13(*1) Achi Village was ranked first for the best stargazing location by the Ministry of the Environment's national star observation survey in 2006. The village also won the Environment Minister's Award at the 29th Nagano Prefecture South Maki Village Conference (2017). Please note that stargazing may be unavailable depending on weather conditions.
