About Japan JR Kansai-San’in Area Pass eMCO E-

－What You Can Expect－

The JR Kansai-San'in Area Pass is a 7-day ticket that allows unlimited travel on applicable trains in the Kansai and San'in regions. Within the valid period, passengers can use both reserved and non-reserved seats on applicable trains without any restrictions. Eligible trains include the Sanyo Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Okayama), Limited Express trains, and Local trains (including Rapid and Special Rapid trains). Please note that this pass does not cover travel on the Tokaido Shinkansen (Shin-Osaka⇔Tokyo), Chizu Express, Kyoto Tango Railway, and JR West Japan buses.

— Exchange Method—

Ticket vending machines (Self-service): Operate and collect tickets through the green ticket vending machines marked with "passport" icons at each station

• If the ticket machine is out of service or you do not have an e-passport, please visit the designated stations and redeem the pass at the green ticket booth

JR West Ticket Office (Manual): Present your e-voucher and passport to the JR Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi, also known as the Green Window) to exchange for a physical ticket
• There will be no name and passport verification if you choose to collect from the ticket vending machine; however, if you exchange at the counter, the staff will check the name on the voucher and the passport
• Ticket machines are only available for travelers with an e-passport. If you do not have an e-passport or the passport does not work at the ticket machine, please visit the ticket office for a manual exchange

Only e-passports are applicable to collect physical tickets at ticket machines. The ticket machine supports five languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese

You Should Also Know This

JR tickets operate under a registration system, with a very complicated booking process. Therefore, please ensure that you have provided the required information in order to make a purchase. Please bear in mind that Traveloka is not liable for any delays due to insufficient or incorrect information provided by travelers

Children require a child pass if occupying a seat in a reserved-seat carriage or traveling alone

Luggage Restrictions: Passengers may bring up to 2 pieces of luggage, not including carry-ons and smaller bags. Each piece may not weigh more than 30kg and its length, width, and depth may not add up to more than 250cm, while its length may not exceed 200cm

[Refund Policy] For any “EMCO redeemable vouchers” that have not been exchanged into an “Official Pass” you can apply for a refund within 11 months from the purchased date. However, a 10% cancellation fee will be charged. Please ensure that you keep your vouchers safe as we cannot issue new passes or process refunds if passes are lost, stolen or partially used

One passport can only redeem 1 type of pass/ticket of the same time period
