About Ayutthaya Historical Biking by Grasshopper Thailand

Let's the reminiscence of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand enhances your journey experience more! With this well-planned historical biking program, you will travel from Bangkok by a provided van and hop on a bike and pedal along historical railway station of Bang Pa-In to Wat Chai Watanaram, a prominent 16th century temple where Kings performed religious ceremonies. Continue riding on the back lanes of Chao Phraya River until you arrive at Wat Phutthai Sawan built in 1353. Next, take a break to savor lunch while marveling at the scenic view of Sri Suriyothai Park and Royal Palace ruins. The trip continues to Ayutthaya Historical Park where you are embraced by the air tinged with the past glory of Ayutthaya. Here you will get to visit 3 important temples with the first stop at Wat Lokayasutharam, housing dreaming reclining Buddha. Then, travel to Wat Phrasrisanphet, the prototype temple of Grand Palace and lastly to Wat Mahathat, where the iconic image of Lord Buddha’s head cradled by a strangler fig tree.
