Jakarta, October 4, 2021 - Traveloka, lifestyle superapp in Southeast Asia, holds another EPIC Sale, the largest technology-based annual promotional program from Traveloka that aims to facilitate users to meet their growing lifestyle demands. Running from Oct. 5 to 11, 2021, Traveloka EPIC Sale offers a special price cut of up to 80%. Many of Traveloka’s partners also welcome the program as seen from the two-fold increase of the number of partners participating in this year’s EPIC Sale. The program has managed to bring in around 54,000 partners across the country from the tourism sector, starting from Accomodation, Transportation, Restaurant, Attraction, and other lifestyle products such as Salon, Beauty Services, Playgrounds, up to Financial Services for bills and insurance payment. EPIC Sale in the second half of this year also serves as a manifestation from Traveloka to consistently help increase the business of the partners, especially SMEs players, in order to support the national economic recovery as well as #DiIndonesiaAja movement to bolster the domestic tourism sector.
In his welcoming speech, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, congratulates Traveloka for the roll out of EPIC Sale 2021 which is expected to give a positive impact to Indonesian tourism, such as creating job vacancies and driving the people’s economy.
“We welcome and support Traveloka’s initiative that involves thousands of tourism and creative economy industries in the country. Besides supporting the #DiIndonesiaAja movement, I also hope this program can be able to drive the economy, create job vacancies so that it can help to bring prosperity to the people,” Sandiaga says.
“Furthermore, this program is also in line with our three strategies, which are Gercep (Moving Fast), Geber (Working Together) and Gaspol (Utilize All Job Vacancies Potentials) that are expected to revive the tourism and creative economy sector in the country,” he adds.
Albert, Co Founder, Traveloka, said “As a company with a long-term commitment to give positive contribution to the nation, we see innovation and collaboration as crucial factors to support the whole ecosystem in the tourism sector to continue to grow, even during the pandemic. One of the ways is through the EPIC Sale program that we initiated, in which this program centers on the tourism sector that is among top priorities of national economic growth drivers.
By focusing on technology utilization, EPIC Sale presents livestream, referral coupons up to virtual bazaars that will facilitate the partners to reach customers and promote their products and services in order to create demands. Another important thing is, EPIC Sale program also prioritizes safe travel implementation by adhering to tight health protocols based on CHSE principles. The Traveloka Clean Partners features also allow customers to easily identify the partners that have implemented CHSE as well as partners that have acquired CHSE certificates from the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry.
Held for the fifth time, this year’s EPIC Sale is expected to repeat the success of the previous EPIC Sale. Thousands of Traveloka partners who participated in last year’s EPIC Sale said that the program had a positive and significant impact on their business sustainability during the pandemic. The partners admitted that EPIC Sale not only increased their exposures, occupancy and revenues, but also boosted guests’ trusts and confidence in choosing their products and services with the information related on health protocols available on Traveloka platform.
“EPIC Sale Program that returns in the second semester of 2021, not only presents the best and the most complete end-to-end services to customers, but also becomes a facilitator for our partners to run their business during the pandemic. Similar to the previous four EPIC Sale, we hope this EPIC Sale can bring a positive impact to domestic tourism sector and the national economy,” Albert concludes
