Traveloka Launches 'Traveloka Holiday Stays' for Consumers’ Demands of Complete and Comfortable Private Accommodations

Jakarta, 22 November 2021 - Traveloka, lifestyle superapp in Southeast Asia, today launches Traveloka Holiday Stays, the accommodation product to provide a more diverse choice of private accommodation, not only villas and apartments, consumers can also find resorts, glamping, to private homes. Traveloka Holiday Stays is the new face of the Villa & Apartment product that has been available since 2019. This latest product also confirms Traveloka's mission as a lifestyle superapp to continue creating innovations that answer consumers’ needs on the increasing demands for private accommodation. To date, there are more than 450,000 properties on Traveloka Holiday Stays. Meanwhile, for properties in Indonesia, the total number of properties increased more than 5 times compared to 2019. The increment of these properties certainly provides flexibility for consumers to make the right choice. In addition, Traveloka also embeds the latest features in the Traveloka Holiday Stays product that allows consumers to enjoy comfortable, complete, and flexible stay facilities.

The pandemic has changed many things, including people's behavior and preferences in planning trips. Traveloka sees two trends that have emerged since the pandemic, which are staycations and workcations. In addition, there is a new preference of staying in a more private and exclusive accommodation. This is reflected in Traveloka's internal data that noted a two-fold increase in private accommodation bookings in October 2021 compared to January-August 2021 period. One of the main reasons is that private accommodation is considered to provide a more intimate atmosphere and able to accommodate a bigger number of people in one area together.

Responding to the phenomenon, Traveloka introduces the latest product 'Traveloka Holiday Stays', a new face of the Villa & Apartment product that has been available since 2019. Features such as Discovery Mode, allowing consumers to find private accommodations in accordance with their selected destinations and flexible prices without having to enter specific dates (this feature has been available in stages and will be available simultaneously starting December 1, 2021). Consumers can also find out complete information on selected private accommodations through the Complete Accommodation Information feature. Another feature, namely Chat Manager, simplifies consumers to directly contact property managers through the messaging platform for overnight stays. Consumers can also easily search for properties based on the filter of accommodation type: villas, resorts, glamping, apartments, to private homes.

Last but not least, consumers can also find private accommodation options on Traveloka Holiday Stays that have been registered as CleanAccommodation partners. Consumers can easily choose properties that are certified with CHSE standards, hence they can ensure the implementation of safe travel with strict health protocols.
