Everything to know about this year's Jetstar Boxing Day sale

Black Friday’s over and EOFY is so long ago we can’t even remember what it stands for. But, there’s still one big sale left in 2025 that we’re holding out hope for; it’s Boxing Day. And Jetstar is known to bring the goods for this one.

Usually the final sale of the year (but who knows!), this one is known to mix things up a bit.

Last year, Jetstar offered AU$39 flights around Australia. While in 2023, the airline offered domestic flights from AU$34 and international fares from AU$145.

Since then, we’ve seen much better deals from the low-cost carrier, including this year’s show-stopping Black Friday sale with Return for free flights across Australia and to Asia and the South Pacific.

While we don’t expect the Boxing Day sale to be quite that sweet, we are hoping for deals on-par with what we’ve seen throughout 2025 so far.

Just a few months ago we saw these fares on sale:

Adelaide to Sunshine Coast … AU$29
Brisbane to Melbourne (Tullamarine) … AU$29
Hobart to Sydney … AU$29
Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Ballina Byron … AU$29
Sydney to Gold Coast … AU$29

We’d happily snatch these up if they go on sale again.

When does the Jetstar Black Friday sales start and end?

Official dates for 2025 haven’t been announced, but Boxing Day sales tend to start on the day – that’s on 26 December, just after Christmas.

Unlike Black Friday sales, Boxing Day deals don’t tend to start early as historically the sale was about getting rid of stock post-Christmas.

What Jetstar’s 2024 Boxing Day sale

Last year’s Boxing Day sale had domestic flights starting at AU$34 each way, including the Melbourne (Avalon) to/from Sydney route

There were also some great bargains on international flights, like AU$249 flights to Honolulu. (We’re still gutted that Jetstar no longer flies that route.)
