Singapore is known for its year-round sunshine and tropical climate. And while there are no real “seasons” in The Lion City, planning a trip in October is an excellent choice as there are generally fewer crowds and tourists (thanks to it falling within the off-peak tourist season). However, it’s important to note that October marks the start of the inter-monsoon period, which means you’ll see a few rain showers here and there, coupled with a humid environment. Nonetheless, October is the perfect opportunity to explore Singapore in a different light, with fewer crowds and ultimately better travel deals. Ready for your Singapore adventure? Read on for everything you need to know before you visit in October.

Is October a good time to visit Singapore?

Most of October falls within the off-peak tourist season in Singapore, so you’ll see fewer tourists and better deals on flights, accommodation, and tours. While the start of October is when you’ll see a few rain showers and higher humidity, it’s not as wet and humid as the peak of monsoon season in November to January. Therefore, it is an excellent time to visit for travellers who prefer to avoid crowds.

Unless you’re a fan of F1, steer clear of the Singapore Grand Prix dates, which are usually late-September or early October as prices can skyrocket.

Is October a cheap or expensive time to visit Singapore?

October is generally a more affordable time to visit Singapore compared to peak travel periods, which occur between November and December or June and August. You’ll likely see a slight increase in hotel, flight, and tour promotions, which is always welcome in our books.

Weather in Singapore in October

The temperature in Singapore in October usually sits around 25-32°C, making it the perfect weather for a morning dip in the pool or a day spent at the beach. Sudden showers are common during this time and typically occur in the afternoon for a few minutes. To our delight, the sudden rain showers help keep the temperature down — which is helpful when you’re exploring a city in tropical climates.
