We have stayed at the Riviera on numerous occasions the rooms are always clean. front desk staff always courteous transport just a small walk to the tram entertainment centre hospital shopping restaurants 😀 As a returning customer it would be nice if they had a reward program

University area,mostly eating establishments,quick takeaway’s rooms need upgrading,our fridge made a constant humming noise and carpet around was wet,reported and someone did come and check but nothing else was done.After our room was “cleaned”there were coffee stains still on area around kettle.no shower mat or grab handles,warned by guest to be careful as she had slipped the day we arrived and her arm was injured needing a hospital appointment.Staff were friendly.

The room was a decent size, clean, and comfortable for the duration of the stay. The bathroom was ok but felt tight as everything was crammed into one. The carpet in the room had quite a bit of stains, not the cleanest, which I have also noticed at several other hotels during my travels in Australia. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly. So, the $25/night charge ($50 for two which is what I paid) was quite unreasonable given that I was not aware of this.
