Burwood is an interesting suburb in which to stay and train services into the city are good. I came to Burwood for a specific event in that location but quickly saw that the Comfort Inn would suit many purposes. Our room was quiet, overlooking a garden area and city skyline.

Convenient location for what we were looking for however very noisy. We had a room that was set up for interconnecting and even though this was closed off you could hear “EVERYTHING” that was happening in the room next door during the night. We also had other people stay in the room on the other side of us and they could also hear everything that was going on in the same room 2 which was down from them. Although this is obviously not the fault of the hotel it definitely points out how non sound proof the rooms are.

2 room accomodation. Rooms had good space, but air conditioning in main area of room 38 very noisy, so switched it off. Nice to have a/c in one of the bedrooms though. The bathroom & especially shower needs to be updated.

It is obviously very old, bathroom although very clean had no walk in shower....we are elderly could not climb in and out of the high bath so could not shower whilst there for two nights.

We had the family room and that was plenty of space. Liked the extra sofa bed. Liked the elevator. Love the location, 20 minutes walk to the restaurants and train station so that we didn't need to use the car.
Staff was lovely and helpful.
Would be great if there's a microwave in the room.

Property needs to change their sofas which have lived their life.
Lock the bed rollers before guests check in.
Checking out was terrible. A check out of 11am was confirmed but the reception kept calling and asked us to return the keys immediately and threatened to call the police!! This goes beyond my expectations from a hotel staff.

The location was convenient, the building was set out nicely & free parking was appreciated.
The dining room not was not open for dinner only breakfast, no Biscuits in the room apparently a management decision & the shower was over the bath with an unattractive curtain. Definitely not what I was expecting from a 4 star establishment. Quite disappointed

No helpful info on arrival (limited schedule for courtesy bus, quick garbled instructions with a pointing gesture regarding restaurant hours, no guidance on 'how to" in room eg. TV instructions, couldnt dial reception etc). Room was lovely, spacious and air conditioned and tea & coffee supplied but no toaster or microwave in room, and when we requested them we were denied. We were apparently in a "basic" room. The housekeeping staff were a delight, always friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept tidy and clean. I received a minor injury from the door of reception and the manager was very attentive and dressed the wound for me until I was able to get some dressings.The parking was easy and convenient so that was a big help in the middle of Burwood. The nights were also surprisingly quiet for an inner city accommodation. So while it wasn't perfect, now I'm aware of how it works I would stay there again.
