Clean modern rooms, friendly staff and good location.

Super friendly staff, great location lots of restaurants/ cafes in the area, 7 minute walk to the fortitude valley, room was spotless when arrived, definitely will stay again

Honestly every time i stay here the staff are always friendly, 11 am check out with black out curtains was amazing for a much needed sleep in. Close to everything we needed.

Had to pay a high amount towards parking while most of the other hotels are giving complimentary free parking. Even Wotif did not provide clear instructions about additional parking cost while booking the hotel room. And there was not even a microwave in the room, no bowls etc. This was a disappointing vacation experience through Wotif, sorry to say this!

The rooms and location are truly splendid, yet despite ample coffee, there's no sugar, and not even a complimentary bottle of water in the room. The bathroom has shampoo and such, but no body cream – it leaves the impression of a hotel being far too frugal. The staff are not rude, but their responses are robotic and mechanical. They didn't ask for feedback at the end, so I didn't convey anything to the staff, but it left a disappointing impression. Given the excellent location, I might stay again, but I hope it improves considerably from its current state.

A few things -- I wouldn't necessarily say stood out, but. - When we arrived, we were given a complimentary bottle of wine, which was lovely, the gentleman asked what I'd prefer, and I said a white, and if at all possible, a sparkling. They sent up a bottle of Shiraz. - The next thing is, over the last few years, we've noticed a considerable decrease in the quality of the food available for the breakfast buffet. We recently stayed in Sydney, at the Rydges airport, and the food was superb. Considerably higher quality, and much more variety. As for the amenities, they can't be faulted. I've never had an issue with the Rydges, and that's why I continue to go back. The only thing that I'd like to suggest, is that the management consider extending the room service hours, and perhaps the menu items, and bring things like the couple's/romance offer back. I'd also suggest the ability to pre-order car parks as part of the reservations process. I am also more than happy for the management to contact me to talk about this further.

Great location, super breakfast with lovely staff who were very attentive and welcoming a complete change from the concierge front desk who were not welcoming or friendly at all. It felt like they did not want us there. If not for that it would have been a hotel I would go back too, however I would try elsewhere now.

Whenever I visit town, Rydges is always my first choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bedding and pillows are excellent, and the location is fantastic. The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful — polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, this stay was a little disappointing. I was given an accessible room that wasn’t suited to my needs, and I didn’t want to take a room that someone else might genuinely need. I wasn't aware I had this room until I got into the room, and it wasn't what I had booked. I politely raised this with reception, and they advised the duty manager would contact me — but after waiting over an hour, no one did. When I followed up, the duty manager blamed the front staff instead of taking responsibility. After travelling interstate, I was tired and just wanted to settle in. The lack of communication was the real disappointment, and the shower pressure in the room was also quite poor. What made it more frustrating is that this stay cost almost double what I’ve paid in the past, yet I still chose Rydges because of how much I usually enjoy staying here. I travel often and have always had great experiences, so I hope this was just a one-off and not the new norm. Might consider staying elsewhere in the future.

The beds in this place are amazing , spacious rooms and the blockout curtains were perfect too thank you for a wonderful stay , I will be back 😊

Beautifully clean room, comfortable bed & awesome shower. Staff very friendly, quick with check in & out. The right place to stay as 500 metres to the Tivoli!

Had a great 1 night stay here while in brisbane to go to a gig, room was clean, bed was comfortable, very close to eating options if you arent looking at going far. 1 downside was couldnt get netflix working on our TV so had to put up with horrible free to air but first world problems. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again.
