Nice and convenient if you are traveling on train, the station is a couple of minutes away as well as tram stops, but at a walking distance to downtown Ghant.

Amazing breakfast cooked to order.
A room with views across the city.
We have stayed in some of the larger 4/5 star hotels in Ghent previously and this was all round a much more pleasant stay.

This lodging was ideal for a visit to Ghent. I picked it for its location (5 minute walk from StPieters train station but loved everything about it. Staff was friendly, efficient and very helpful. Room was large by European standards. Buffet breakfast (with made to order eggs and mini pancakes) was excellent. Its location near the train station and tram stop made it easy to get to and from Brussels and to get into the historic center for sightseeing. The hotel even sold the Ghent City card - worth it if you visit at least most of the sights in town and use the tram.
If I could I would rate this lodging an 11 out of 10. We are world travelers and this place is a gem.
Also around the corner is Traiteur Toulouse - excellent food at a reasonable price. Also recommended by the hotel.

Carlton was great, so handy to the train station, 20 minute stroll into the old town, staff were so helpful giving some site seeing tips. Certainly value for money and have no issues recommending a stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Carlton. Hotel is steps from the train station which was very convenient. Staff was incredibly friendly, and breakfast was great! We highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Carlton was a perfect place to stay in Ghent. It was a couple of minutes walk to the train station and about 25 minutes walk to the historic centre.
The room was spacious and had a kettle and coffee machine. Breakfast was delicious.

Their breakfast is amazing!! All kinds of bread are delicious. Freash squeezed orange juice tastes good, obviously. They cook eggs as you like. I highly recommend u also try their breakfast!

Excellent base close to Sint Pieters station. Very helpful staff throughout our 3 night stay. Good sizable and comfortable room with minibar and aircon. Chargeable breakfast is very good with cooked to order options.

The Carlton is an excellent place to stay in Ghent, just minutes from Citadel Park, the train station and other attractions. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were even treated to fresh flowers in our room!
