This place is out of a time warp - maybe a Twin Peaks episode.
There is no window that opens to fresh air. It’s opens to a corridor. You have to open a small window and then open a bigger window outside the room to have any fresh air flow at all. What a strange set up.
The “fireplace” is not real. Why would you advertise fireplace - a total rip off. Not unreasonable to think that a spot in the Laurentianz would have a real, working fireplace.
The on site restaurant was “only open on Friday” (We were scheduled to stay Wednesday - Friday) and were told to go somewhere else for lunch & dinner. The most decent place was a 20-30 minute walk.
There were bugs on the folded blanket at the end of the bed when we checked in and almost every item in the room had not been properly dusted.
To top it off the lake had just been deemed too polluted to swim in by local authorities.
I’m guessing those who enjoyed their experience at this place had one of the few deluxe rooms that opened to a private terrace - and one that had been properly cleaned. Otherwise I don’t know how anybody on Expedia could rank this place 10/10
Instead of staying a second night as planned we left. When I went to reception to drop off the key and explain there was nobody there - it was 11 AM. So I dropped it on the desk and headed home.
There are much better options close by. Do better.

C'était probablement un bel hôtel il y a 15 ans, mais aujourd'hui l'immeuble est en décrépitude. La tapisserie est retroussée sur les murs, l'air climatisé fait un bruit infernal, il ne fonctionne pas. La petite cafetière était pleine de moisissure dans le fond, des gobelets en carton, pas de tasses. Le plancher menant au chambre est croche et les bains à remous sont saturés par de l'eau de javel. Il y a une odeur de vieux dans l'air. Cependant, le personnel est très gentil, bienveillant, et le déjeuner continental était satisfaisant même si cher pour ce qui a été offert.

Endroit chaleureux, mais manque beaucoup d'entretien. Vieux mobilier dans les chambre, piscine besoin d'amour ++, patio aussi, et les draps dans le lit quand je suis arrivé pour dormir était plein de cernes et de tâche je n'ai pas apprécié du tout ce coté. A 400$ une nuit je trouve que c'est cher payé pour le manque d'entretien.

Le petit déjeuner servi à la chambre était bien. L’hôtel et les chambres ont besoin de travaux. Aucune climatisation dans les chambres alors que la température de la chambre est demeurée à 26 degrés toute la nuit, sans possibilité de générer un courant d’air.

My room was dirty, had to change rooms. The place needs some love. Just paint and upgrade broken around the property. The place is not the same as it was 4 years ago, new owners have let the place go. I will not be back not worth the price. And don't upgrade to suite defenetely not worth the money.

C’est un très vieil auberge . Pas de restaurant pour servir le petit déjeuné et pour le souper il y possibilité de fondue uniquement Aucun décor dans la salle à manger.
