Holiday Inn Express TORONTO DOWNTOWN by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The location is good.

Bring ear plugs as you hear sirens and other traffic a lot. Staff were amazing, very helpful even the cleaning staff went the extra mile. Breakfast was good but very congested. East pickup for uber drivers so that was a bonus.

The hotel wasn’t as close to the Rogers Centre as I had thought.

My room window was across the street from the the hospital emergency vehicle entrance and halfway house with used needle drop-off for addicts. Sirens and people yelling all night. Worst hotel stay I have ever had.

Clean, great team of staff, quiet, cool (Toronto was very hot) and lots of great places to eat 2ithin a 5 min walk. What more could you ask for?

Great central location

This is quite a nice hotel, very clean, staff is amazing, includes the breakfast (go early, fully booked when we were there, limited seating which is normal). We really liked the location, we were able to walk to all the tourist spots we wanted to visit, we did not use our car which was great. Would definitely return and we do recommend.

The breakfast options were standard but not to me nor my acquaintances likings. The room had a bit of a smell upon entry but nothing too strong. The bathroom could do with a bit more cleaning. Overall it's decent property but had few flaws that affected my stay.

Staff were Friendly

Brief stay in town for a concert; hotel prices were reflective of that (2 Rogers Centre shows from a Toronto native). The price paid was not commensurate for what you get. However, I’m a believer in “need a good bed, decent shower & cleanliness trumps everything else.” All of those boxes were checked. Check in was quite slow, though the apparently absent A/C in the lobby probably made it seem slower than it was. Room A/C quite fine but loud fan, I’d suggest earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Tub has been “redone” with a coating of some sort that is peeling a lot; I don’t really care but it exudes old property. Small in room fridge. $25 o/n parking in secure underground structure, super convenient & we could charge our car as well. Overall good for a quick concert stay; great location, value just ok but seems all hotel pricing these days is pretty outrageous.

I loved that they have coupons to places to get 15% off at bubble planet and much more places. The staff is amazing.

This is an excellent hotel. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The rooms were pristine and had many nice amenities. Most low-cost hotels provide two flat towels, but this one had stacks of white, fluffy towels. Although you do have to pay for parking, the lot is secure. I would definitely stay here again.

Bed is very comfortable

Staff was very accommodating, friendly and our stay there was very easy. The hotel was very busy, but our housekeeping service was good, or room/beds were comfortable, and our bathroom was nice. Very easy to get to St. Lawrence Market and to lots of shops. I would stay here again.

Not enough parking space at the front of the building

There was a problem with my reservation, which was one day too short for the meeting I was attending. They accommodated me in the same room, which was very helpful. The staff was very personable and polite and efficient. I would gladly stay there again, and may recommend it to other people who go to Toronto.
