Paradox Vancouver definitely meets my expectation of a luxury stay. Super friendly staff. The hotel facilities are top notched. Great location. Tons of great restaurants within walking distance. I love the fact that they recognize my VIP status with Expedia and give me some great perks. Make sure you check out the pool and hot tub. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. It's great value for the money.

I had a miscommunication that was rather important in check in, but what was less than perfect there is made up for with a lovely room with not only stunning, but the interesting views you find in Vancouver. My room was likely the most inexpensive, so I was working with smaller surface area for certain that was laid out so well you don’t feel cramped. Those who brought my inhouse (and well done and priced) entrees were “charming” people. The trip was over an emergency, but I didn’t have to think twice about much after checking in. Lastly, checkout is at noon which was a nice touch. For twenty years I would always stay at Pan Pacific, but this West Van gem is a more affordable, and less hectic. Total Yay Plus from me.

The all of the things you want in an upscale hotel can be found at the Paradox. The property is immaculate, as are the rooms and accommodations. The location is in the heart of downtown which provides walkable access to every corner of downtown shops, eateries and entertainment. The staff are incomparable and responsive.

The room with the upgrade I reserved was not available. I was moved to a different room and it was not to my liking. Even the turn down service was lacking the first night as they had no clue there were two of us. Also, the conditioner bottle was empty and we kept getting sparkling water and not still water. The reception staff gave us an expired coupon for Capilano and I was not able to save on my tickets. The biggest issue was the restaurant. For breakfast, the Asian manager did not accommodate any requests except from the cold menu as it was 10:45 and she said she could not. However, the hostess who sat us said our order from the regular breakfast menu was possible. It was really awkward when the Asian manager asked me what my room was before she answered any questions as if to verify I was worthy of being there. We decided to eat at Tableau instead and never had breakfast at paradox again. As much as I like this hotel, I am not sure I would stay here a third time.

The hotel location was perfect, walking distance to a lot of restaurants, Canada Place and the sea wall. The room was very well appointed, modern and luxurious with thoughtful touches like heated bathroom floor. The staff were courteous and the concierge was very helpful and took time to highlight points of interest in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel!
