This is an older building but it’s nice place to stay. Free parking is a nice perk. Remember there’s no air conditioning but the breeze coming the the windows work miracles. The kitchen has the basics including fridge, coffee maker (with coffee), stove. Some eating things (cups, glasses, plates, etc. They have soap and shampoo in the bathroom.

This was an absolute disaster of a stay. The whole grounds, building and rooms are outdated. The hallway to the rooms are dark and outdated. The suite couch was disgusting and discolored. The worst part of it was that after coming back from a very long day at a conference, (solo female traveler) I came back to my room door left open (safety latch used to prop the door open after cleaning the room). I felt unsafe and when I went to tell the front desk staff at 8pm, HE told me that it was impossible my room was left open and that to ensure my safety, I should check out. Unprofessional and misogynistic personality. The hotel is close to shopping but it would be wiser to either get a more expensive hotel or use the skytrain.

Over half of the electrical outlets didn't work. Property was a post WWII apartment house, with a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Carpeting had to be 20 years old, kitchen was poorly maintained - broken countertop. TV was new and about the only item in the apartment less than 20 years old.

The only real positive aspect of this hotel is its location. It is right in downtown Vancouver and conveniently located about a 20-minute walk from the cruise terminal, which makes it practical before or after a cruise. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very outdated and poorly maintained. It clearly needs major renovation and modernization. The rooms are quite large and are structured more like small apartments than hotel rooms, with a kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and separate entrance. However, the furniture — especially in the kitchen — is old and worn out. The worst issue during my stay was the windows. At least in my bedroom, they would not lock, and during the night cold air kept coming in, making the room uncomfortable and cold. Even the handle on the entrance door was defective, which added to the feeling that the property is not being properly maintained. The hotel staff was kind and helpful, which I appreciated, but unfortunately that does not make up for the condition of the property. Considering the price charged — over $200 per night — this hotel is absolutely not worth the cost and does not meet expectations.

Location is central and convenient. Front desk staff were pleasant. The hotel is old and rather run down, but clean and reasonably priced compared to most hotels in Vancouver. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having a suit instead of a single room. Free parking was a definite bonus. We hope to be back there later this year.

The location is amazing, and having free off-street parking in this location is particularly amazing. Easy walk to lots of cafes and restaurants and to Stanley Park. As others have noted, the property seems like it hasn't been updated in quite a while, so if that will bother you don't stay here. The upside is that it's quite affordable for the location. Plus it's nice to have what's essentially a one-bedroom apartment: separate bedroom, living room, and kitchen. No issues with cleanliness, the wifi worked, the bed was comfortable.

Excellent location as you can walk to all the shopping on Robson and catch transit easily. With kitchen facilities in the suite, the ability to cook meals and eat at the provided table can help with cost savings. You aren't staying here for the decor. If that's your thing, this isn't it. It's dated and in poor condition. They need to fix the flickering overhead lights on floor 9 in the hallway. It's jarring stepping immediately off the elevator. I recognize that with updates the cost would reflect it, and I still appreciate a budget option in the city. The beds however are quite comfortable and always have been clean. I get a good nights sleep.
