Novotel Xi'an The Bell Tower

Very good location. Friendly and helpful reception. One of the few hotels with welcome drinks and afternoon tea for guests. Xi'an was boiling hot when we were there. Hotel had lots of bottled water available to guests. Delicious breakfast.

The hotel is very clean and the location is superb. Highly recemmended.

This hotel is in a perfect location—just steps away from the Bell and Drum Tower—which made our stay incredibly convenient and enjoyable. I truly wanted to give this hotel an excellent review because overall, our stay was amazing. However, I cannot overlook the challenges we faced with the staff. This hotel is not ideal for travelers who do not speak Mandarin. I speak Mandarin, so I was able to get some assistance during our stay. Unfortunately, I do not read Chinese, and when I asked for help booking a Didi, I was simply told to go outside and hail a cab. I found this response disappointing, especially given that it was a reasonable request for a guest. Only after I asked to speak with a manager did the staff decide to assist me. This lack of initial willingness to help left a negative impression. With better guest service—particularly for international travelers—this hotel has the potential to be truly outstanding.

Staff were very helpful. They would go above and beyond to make sure we have a comfortable stay.

Everything was good except the bathroom. the doors to both the shower & toilet were translucent and had no locks. it was very weird. Other than the bathroom, everything else was pretty good

Wonderful hotel very technical all very modern would recommend it to anyone going to Xian.

It has an excellent location in the heart of Xi’ an. The Bell Tower, restaurants, and shops are just steps away. The subway is in from of the hotel,

Our stay at Novotel hotel was pleasant. We love how strategic the location is, walkabout to the Bell Tower and the metro is right in front of the hotel.

Front desk was helpful. They provided bread, jam and OJ, at no charge, when I requested for it because I had an upset stomach. Was glad to see the Toto washlet type toilet. The cleaning staff was good. The hotel was fine in almost all aspects except for two issues. Whenever I walked into my room I smelled something odd, perhaps from past cigarette smoke, even though it was a nonsmoking room. The smell would vanish in a minute or two when I switched on the AC. I think I had a room with a suite so the room was separated into two parts by a panel running about half of the width of the room, and there was a TV hung on this panel. Frankly, the room would appear more spacious if this dividing panel was not present, and I don’t watch TV when traveling. There was also a shelf hanging half way down the ceiling, in the middle of the room. I could not figure out why it was there. The room would appear more spacious without it.

Comfortable, easy access, lots of food and shopping area.

The location of the hotel is actually great to walk around. The only downside for me is that my room which is apparently bigger doesn’t have direct sunlight in tho there is window. So it makes the room abit sad for me. As I prefer direct sunlight.

Nice looking and very clean hotel, with cool controls for the room. Like the controls for the lights and drapes. Big tv , wish they had a few American channels. Very close to main attractions and restaurants
