Perfect hotel to stay in a quiet condition with an Amazing people and staff.

I really liked it. I just suggest that they should offer more variety at breakfast—maybe include traditional Dominican dishes like mangú to make it different. I noticed that every night we stayed there it was the same. Although it was very good and fresh, they should vary the menu.

Beautiful space, clean rooms. In the heart of Colonial Zone. Staff didn’t speak much English so a little difficult when we had questions, but pleasant. Breakfast was decent.

Very unique and historical property. We loved the rooms, the patios, and the staff. We felt like we stopped back in time. We will be back.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the air conditioning was amazing! I loved the patio outside of our room.

This is an interesting and well appointed little boutique hotel at the quiet end of the Colonial District, comfortably furnished and with very pleasant staff. The garden is especially delightful. While the square opposite is quite busy and even noisy during the daytime, it is relatively quiet at night. From the point of view of security, we never felt uncomfortable walking in our neighborhood.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room in a charmimg 16th century Beaterio located perfectly in the Colonial Zone. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfast good. Will stay again.

Great atmosphere for those who want something different than the cookie-cutter, hotel chain room. Very comfortable, loads of atmosphere, and friendly staff.

El Beaterio is my Go-To hotel whenever i stay in Zona colonial. Centrally located, walk to all the main attractions in the Old town: upscale restaurant literally in the same block! Tons of other dining options, bars, nice park where locals gather in the evening right across the street. Receptionist Pierre is super friendly and nice! Shows you everything, makes sure you know where everything is, what hours breakfast is etc. Hotel itself is such a historical jewel! You feel like you enter the Time Machine: lobby, breakfast area, staircase and room itself! I’m a history buff, so i also love how they have pictures everywhere and a little history written about the old times! The only thing I’d mention is to be careful when walking up to the second floor, it’s a bit slipper on top when it rains. Maybe owners will see this review and put a rubber mat or something else there as i almost slipped and fall, especially in the evening coming back after a few drinks :) Otherwise, don’t think twice and book this hotel because you won’t find better value in the area for your money!

Only good is historic architecture at hotel. No restaurant, no bar, nothing in the hotel... if you want to sleep with fan and air conditioner that doesn't work, stay here...they gave us an option of another room second night, but air conditioner also didn't get cold... we have to take cold shower to sleep!!! never again!!!
