Melia Caribe Beach Resort - All Inclusive

Muy mala experiencia, el check in muy desorganizado, poca variedad en el buffet, en cuanto al transporte dentro del hotel, estuvo pésimo ya que hay que trasladarse muy lejos, y solo hay un tren que hay que esperar unos 45 minutos para que pase , hay otros carritos pero estos no suben a todos, solo a los que ellos le pareciera, la mayoría de los huéspedes estaban indispuestos por esta situación.

I’ll like the food

We had an excellent stay at the Meliá Hotel. Even though the hotel was quite full and there was a long line at check-in, the staff was incredibly kind, diligent, and professional. We hadn’t booked any special services like concierge or VIP access, but we were treated with great courtesy and attention. The front desk team was especially helpful—they even created a WhatsApp group to stay in touch with us in case we needed anything during our stay, which was a very thoughtful and practical gesture. The hotel itself is large, clean, and beautifully maintained. While it is an older property, it has charm, and everything looked well-kept. Since the resort is quite big, distances can be long, but they have little trains to help guests get around, and the staff driving them were also extremely friendly. We spent a lovely Sunday at the beach, where we rented a shaded beach bed, which provided great comfort and shelter from the sun. The beach waiter who served us was very polite and attentive throughout the day. Dinner was decent—not exceptional, but good—and we were pleasantly surprised to be offered a free late check-out of two extra hours, which we truly appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience, felt well taken care of at all times, and are grateful to the hotel for their hospitality. We would definitely return.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating my parents' 50 year vow renewal at the Melia Caribe in Punta Cana, and I can't express how amazing the experience was! We brought 71 guests with us, and from start to finish, the entire staff made sure everything was flawless. A huge shoutout to Diego and Oscar, who went above and beyond to help us organize and execute the event of a lifetime. They were incredibly attentive, personable, and made sure all our needs were met with precision. Their dedication and hard work truly made the vow renewal ceremony feel extraordinary. The resort itself is beautiful, but what really stood out was the level of hospitality from every single staff member. Whether it was the servers, the event planners, or the entertainment crew, everyone was so accommodating, professional, and friendly. Carlos and Jasiel were great at getting us around.. The food was fantastic whether it was the buffet, the a la carte dinners, or the snacks, every meal was delicious. And the music and entertainment were just as impressive! We had an absolute blast with our guests, dancing, enjoying the atmosphere, and creating memories that will last forever. Choosing Melia Caribe for this special occasion was the best decision we made. It truly exceeded all expectations, and I’m beyond grateful for the team there who made this vow renewal so special. I would recommend Melia to anyone looking to celebrate a milestone event in paradise or just vacay it was an unforgettable.

The property is very big so they have golf cart shuttle service. Lots of palm trees and wild life on property (fishes, turtles, ducks). Rooms are clean but a bit old. Caulking around shower was old. Water leaked out while showering so there was a puddle in the bathroom. Staff on property do not speak English, other than staff in the lobby, so be prepared to learn a few Spanish words.

-No me entregaron la habitación que reservé. -Muy mal servicio al cliente. El Chico de guess service no sabe de servicio al cliente y no hace nada para ayudar al guess. -Las llaves de agua de la habitación se pasaban día y noche goteando agua y lo reporté y no lo arreglaron. -Tienen restaurantes a la carta pero cuando vas a reservar ninguno está disponible. Mi estadía fue de 5 días y al segundo día en la mañana fui a reservar para cenar en restaurantes a la carta y me dicen que no hay disponibilidad ni en el restaurante mexicano, ni italiano, ni steak house, en ninguno. Que lo único que hay para mí es buffet. -Para poder cenar en el buffet la fila es demasiado larga. -Cuando estaba en la playa una please fue a decide que no me podia sentar ahi porque esa parte es para miembros VIP del hotel y ni una señal tienen. -Si quieres descansar y relajarte al aire libre no podras porque cada 5 minutos va una persona tratando de venderte un servicio (trenzas, fotos con animales, tours, etc). -Entre otros… Busquen otras opciones.

Everything was excellent!! I’ll be back soon. The only thing that I would change is the food and drink, it’s not bad but it can be better. The alcoholics and juices are not the best but I can totally say it was a great experience.

The property itself was beautiful! All the staff were very friendly! Jaciel was amazing to help us get around by golf cart taxi although there are many others getting around! The ladies at the kids club were incredible with our 2 boys and always felt comfortable leaving them for a few hours at a time. We upgraded our stay to the Level package at check in and felt it was worth it! Our dedicated concierge wasn’t as great, but after we organized dinner reservations we didn’t utilize his services and that was ok. What made it worth it was the exclusive “level” pool, restaurant and beach area. Not as crowded and better atmosphere with better quality food and drinks. The rooms are a little dated but we didn’t mind! Overall we had a wonderful holiday, stayed for 7 nights and would stay there again.

I ask for something special for my husband birthday got nothing. Went 3 times on Expedia desk always empty or they always write my room number and never follow up.

Food options were good and staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a pleasant and relaxing vacation. The resort and its grounds are beautiful and very clean. Upon arrival, Meraly Reyes was very friendly and helped us with the check-in process. She also assisted us with dinner reservations at a couple of restaurants and with any questions we had during our stay. Eddy from Otium Tours also helped us with excursions. Overall, we had a great time, although I wish the buffet had more options and included more traditional Dominican food. The restaurants also need more time slots for reservations. Additionally, they could have more trains or golf carts available to transport us from the beach/pool to the lobby/restaurants and back.

Wverything was amazingly great

First impressions matter. If it weren't for our first 2/3 days (stayed 7), it was a great experience for our family of 5. First few days: 1. A hr long wait in the heat for the buffet the 1st nite (they have 2 but one closes down for dinner). 2. Went to the bar in front of the buffet entrance while waiting only to find no bartender there because he didn’t have items he needed. The bar was NOT crowded with only 2 others waiting. By the time I got served, my family was already at the front. 3. Once in, there were no plates so we waited another 20min for staff to bring them out. 4. Called concierge 4-5x to get extra pillows for our kids. No one picked up the first couple times. Gave up and they were not delivered to the room until the next day. 5. Woke up next day to a leaking mini-fridge. 6. Poop in the main pool on the 3rd day and it didn’t seem like anyone was coming to clean up asap. It was in plain sight from where one of the lifeguards were sitting. 7. To get from the lobby to the beach/pool area is a ~20min walk or a shuttle ride. Our first few days, they only had 1 shuttle running. Unless you were up in front or one of the first waiting at a stop, you weren’t going to get on. It wasn’t until the 3rd/4th day where they figured they should have multiple shuttles for guests. 8. Don’t buy personal items from the gift shop unless you want to experience price gouging (i.e., tube of sunscreen costs $50). Experienced more issues but limited by # of characters for this review.

Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Though they only have certain restaurants available unless you pay extra for VIP. Also the shower had 2 shower heads and only one worked. The bathroom also have two hand cloth but no wash cloths, and the refrigerator did not work so they filled my fridge with water which was room temperature

Overall the property, service and amenities were good What we didn’t like was the constant requests for tip and everyone is trying to sell you. Prices were unreasonabley high for everything. Some higher than nyc prices.

The property was very beautiful. Many lush, well kept gardens and water features, as well as great pool and beach access. The food was decent with many options to choose. The downside was our room was a bit dated (but clean.) Housekeeping did leave thinks out in the corridors which made it a bit cluttered. Our AC was not the coolest but the ceiling fan helped a lot when we were in the room. Overall, this property was a good value for the money.

From the moment we arrived, every team member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and efficient, setting the tone for a great experience. The housekeeping team kept our room spotless. A huge shoutout to the restaurant and bar staff, always smiling, attentive, and eager to please. They remembered our preferences and made each meal feel special. The entertainment team brought so much energy and joy to our days and evenings—we genuinely looked forward to every activity and show. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care for guests set this resort apart. If you’re considering a trip to Punta Cana, I recommend Meliá Caribe for its amazing people who turn a great vacation into an exceptional one. We can’t wait to return!
