Booked Garden Hotel for a one night stay as I was attending a gig nearby. The hotel itsel is located in a perfect spot, a 10min walk from Piccadilly station and with several tram lines and buses within view of the hotel, alongside many restaurants, bars and shops right around the corner. The hotel itself is nothing fancy but fits the price bracket, whilst dated it was clean, lovely staff and my single room had what you need for a short stay. I was pleasantly surprised with the bathtub and iron+board in the room, something similarly proced hotels won’t have. Only downside is that due to the dates look it will be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper but the location, cleanliness and staff have ensured I will return.

Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The entrance was run down and unwelcoming although better once at reception area. We were met by a miserable receptionist who clearly dislikes her job. The receptionist on check out was more cheerful and the cleaner was friendly when we left.
The room was small, tired and dated. The wall paper was lifting from the wall. The carpets were dirty as were the windows. There was a pair of knickers left on the floor by the previous guest. I dreaded going back to the room after an evening out. I was worried the sheets would not be clean but they seemed clean and the bed was relatively comfortable although my husband thought it uncomfortable. We didn't bother with breakfast after reading other reviews. At least it was warm when coming in at night when it was cold outside. We will not return again.

Booked the hotel for 2 nights for a great price and got great value for money. When the radiator was stuck in the on position on the first night, they lent me a fan and it was remedied the next morning. My only criticism was the noise from vehicles & deliveries throughout the early hours outside that was loud even through closed windows, but the hotel & staff really good

Hotel looks a bit off putti g on first site but dont let this put you off we booked 2 executive rooms ( one of which was available nefore check in time so left bags there) they were both front facing and really modern bit noisy from the street but ok, yes the carpets in other corridors need replacing but i think they are doing them bit by bit as the hotel is bigger than it looks. really good for a night or twos stay , breakfast was great hot and cold available .

Yet again i enjoyed my stay at the gardens the only downside was the noise coming from noisy customers throughout the two nights of my stay. I actually thought at one stage they kicked my bedroom door in by mistake it was that bad. Unfortunately this is nothing to do with the hotel

The hotel in the centre of Manchester Piccadilly and almost everything is nearby.
The hotel amenities requires update. The floor is wooden and make a lot of noise especially during the night which might be annoying to your neighbours while sleeping.
Staff during check-in was not happy and not welcoming however the lady was in reception during checkout was friendly and nice.

A good price for a 3 night stay, however there were a few issues. The TV remote didn’t work despite changing the batteries, the tv could be operated via the buttons on the side of it, but not all the time so it had to be switched on and off at the wall multiple times. One of the sockets on the wall didn’t allow plugs to be put in properly. The fitted sheet didn’t fit the entire mattress, roughly 2/3 so covers were lumpy. The hot tap on the bathroom sink didn’t always let any water out - when it did, it was just a dribble. The shower was only bareable with the cold tap on full and the hot tap on 1mm or 2 (otherwise it was scalding) which resulted in very poor water pressure. The shower curtain felt too close and would get stuck to you. That being said, it was mostly quiet, staff we had met were polite, good sized room, good location for our needs.

I've stayed at the Garden's a few times and it's proper little gem of a hotel. It's right in the main shopping area but quiet and although a bit dated inside it's nice and cosy. I usual stop in the suites at the top and always found them clean and quiet. Breakfast is good, you can choose fro continental options and then have a freshly cooked full English. All in all a nice little hotel usually one of the cheaper options and doesn't look much from the front but deceptively nice inside.
