Excellent location near public transport but in a quiet area with lots of local restaurants and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast but as so many food options around we didnt feel the need to have it every morning. Comfy beds and quiet at night meant we slept well and were ready to explore all the sights of london.

One of the nicest independent guest houses I've stayed at in London. Great decor, wizard themed rooms brilliant for children with some really thoughtful touches, and one of the best breakfasts I've had. Only issue is the lack of aircon in hot weather, but they do give you clear warning of this and provide fans.

IT WAS CLEAN AND WELL STAFFED AT ALL TIMES, THERE WAS NO SHOWER( TUB WITH HAND HELD SPRAY), NO A/C ( FAN ) SUMMERTIME WARM BUT NOT TOO BAD, NO ELEVATOR. ALWAYS SOMEONE TO CARRY BAGS UPSTAIRS. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD BUT NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, ROOM WAS SMALL AND PAINTED DARK COLORS, TOILET WAS VERY SMALL. HOTEL WAS QUITE CLEAN, STAFF HELPFUL IF ASKED FOR INFO, 10 MINUTE WALK TO VICTORIA STATION UNDERGROUND, SHORT UBER RIDE TO THEATERS AND MUSEUMS. THIS HOTEL WAS ONCE A HOME, AND NOW IS CONVERTED FOR BUSINESS, AS ARE MANY OF THE BEAUTIFUL OLD DWELLINGS ON THE BLOCKS IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD.

First, the good. Breakfast was well made and we'll staffed. Location was easy enough to find. But...the room was TINY and poorly laid out. I realize it is an older building, but the room we were given had no business being a "triple" let alone a "classy triple." One tiny towel hook and very limited shelving in the (again) tiny bathroom. If euphemistic words like cozy and quaint appeal to you and perhaps this is your spot. Everyone else might be better served elsewhere.

There concept is nice but a bit inconvenient due to the reception being far and no phone in the room. NO AIR CONDITION !! I went there when heat wave so it was hot and uncomfortable.

My family and I visited during the heat wave; after booking the room, we received a message the hotel did not have air conditioning. It was extremely challenging to sleep during the night. We had to switch hotels the next day.

On a hot humid day, with no prior warning nor explanation from the staff, we were given the worst room in the place - no a/c and at the top of 6 flights of stairs. All for $300Cdn. Ridiculous.
