I loved my stay at this hotel! Room 2 is a corner room with 3 huge bright windows( my favorite part of my room). Don't worry there are black out curtains for when it gets dark! The bed was comfy. There is made to order breakfast and continental selections too. And there is parking! The lot is a little tight but what a treat. You can walk to St. Michael's Mount. This hotel is a little far from downtown Penzance, but if you are driving it's no biggie. Close to two huge grocery stores, too. My only complaint was the kitchen was out of napkins for two days of my stay and the shower was either scaulding hot or freezing cold in rounds. The people are so nice and the price is right. I would 100% stay here again.

The twin room with shared bathroom was on a very noisy main road with traffic lights outside, and the window did not shut fully. We didn't realise on booking that the room was not ensuite. The beds were very springy. This was fine for one night only and only five minutes from the heliport.

We spent three nights in this hotel. Free parking for our rental car was a convenience. The hotel is located on a main road in Penzance and there are traffic lights right outside the entrance. As a result, traffic noise was unavoidable. The front office manager Dick also doubled up as the bar tender. He was courteous and helpful. The thing that my family liked the most was the English breakfast. It was sumptuous and delicious. The chefs Yvette and Doreen were very friendly and kind. Our adult son who has autism enjoyed talking to them. They were patient with him. We did not realize that we had to bring our own toiletries until after we had checked in. As there were three of us, one of us had to sleep on the bunk bed. The lower bunk bed was not usable for us due to very low clearance.

We had a really enjoyable 2 night stay when we came down to watch some rugby, and were so well looked after by the hosts — all the staff made the place feel very welcoming and homely. I stayed in Room 2 with my two sons and we all felt very comfortable and safe throughout our visit. The beds were great and we slept well both nights. Breakfast was a real highlight. The full English was excellent — well cooked, huge, and exactly what you want to set you up for the day. The location is also a big plus: less than a five‑minute walk to the coastal path, and for those who don’t fancy the stroll, there are regular buses from just outside straight into Penzance. We chose to walk and took our time, getting into Penzance in around an hour. St Martin's mount is 40 mins the other way. There is parking available, just make sure you register your car on arrival to avoid a fine. Downstairs, the bar has a lovely, friendly local atmosphere. It was great to see local beer and cider options, including Rattler, and the locals were very welcoming. My kids absolutely loved the pool table and it made the whole place feel relaxed and family‑friendly. The building itself is a bit tired in places, but this is clearly reflected in the price and it didn’t detract from the warmth of the stay. For value for money it was exceptional. Overall, a friendly, homely place with fantastic hosts, brilliant breakfasts, and outstanding value. My kids have already said they would book again next year — high praise!
