Good value for the location. Rooms were a nice size and comfy bed. Breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we had to park at the church in the common.

Great, clean, centrally located in Blackheath. Fantastic breakfast and service too! Walkable to bus, train, shopping and restaurants! Great bar with billiards darts, and games—also a nice garden to enjoy the outdoors. Be aware that there is no AC in the rooms although common areas have it. Despite an elevator there are some stairs throughout, but manageable.

We paid extra and upgraded to a Crown room. The standard room was so small in the heatwave. The room was fine but the carpet was extremely stained. We love the hotel’s position with parking and have stayed many times but unfortunately no loyalty with the upgrade.

Check in was fine but the room faced the street, the afternoon sun, and was oppressively hot. It must have been 80 degrees in the room with no air conditioner. There was a fan and I could open the window to get a breeze, but with the open window the street noise made it too loud to sleep. Traffic noise, emergency services sirens, people talking coming back from the pub, etc. If you pull down the shade to keep out the street light, it also blocks the slight breeze. I left the shade up to maximize the breeze but woke up to pigeons, YES PIGEONS, flying in and out of the room and roosting on top of the furniture. What the heck?

This hotel is perfect for our visits to the O2. Fairly easy for us to drive to and then just a 20 minutes bus ride to the O2. The village of Blackheath is also a pretty village, which doesn't feel like you are in London.

This is a charming old hotel in an ideal location overlooking the Heath. Convenient for walking to town for shopping and dining. The interior of the rooms are old and in need of renovation though. I paid for an upgraded view room and was given one on the ground floor with the parking lot and busy street out front so I couldn't open the curtains to enjoy the heath view. The breakfast buffet was disappointing and not worth the daily fee.

Very easy access to the train that goes to the center of London. 5-10 min to a train station and in 20-30 min you are in the center.

No air con so struggled in the hot weather. Couldn't open windows as no pigeon wires on window ledges meant birds could fly in. Signage to rooms needs to be better as on 3rd floor when lift only goes to 2nd. I know its an old hotel but some simple things should be looked at please to make the experience a bit better.
