Scandic Hakaniemi

The staff is incredibly helpful. I arrived late because my flight was delayed, and they were still at the front desk, ready to assist me. The breakfast was the most varied I've ever seen at a hotel, and everything was spotless. The hotel's location is extremely central, making it easy to get around. The morning receptionist was wonderful and shared fascinating stories about what it's like to live through the winter in Finland. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Property was in good location and was convenient to places. My point is the maintenance was not there on weekends to fix something if needed. Also if stuff is not working reception was not accommodating to help fix the issue or give another room.

Excellent location. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Bonus sauna between 6 - 9 in the evening. Very close to the start of the parkrun.

Dirty room , bed bug treated mattresses. Ripped mattress. Good location. Nice staff however directed by owner to not help customers. We asked if they could call a local pizza place a few blocks away because we couldn’t read the menu since it wasn’t in English. Front desk flat out said no.

Good location Bed bug treated mattresses we paid 1000 dollars for two rooms for a few nights the pull out beds had marks of bedbugs. They were treated so were inactive but to charge that kind of money is a little absurd. The mattresses were also all ripped up. Staff friendly but useless we asked for them to call a local pizza store to order for delivery or just some questions because we couldn’t understand the menu as it was not in English. We were told they are not allowed to use phones to call anyone. This was literally a few blocks away to help a customer. That’s a little crazy.

Great quality for the price. Rooms were clean and temperature great for sleeping comfortably even on the warmer nights. Staff is super friendly and helpful, I injured my foot during the stay and they accommodated a lot for me and helped me get healthcare to check out the foot so it wasn't broken.

The hotel is clean; functional and quite basic. It is a bit spartan but it isn't aiming for the luxury market

Room was good and the staff was friendly

The staff are very friendly. The hotel is well maintained and clean.

Nice hotel with easy access to transport. The only thing we missed was coffee makin facilities in the room.

Used here for the parkrun. 4 mins walk away. Busy check in as there was only one person at the desk. Room was nice. Great view. Located almost next to the metro (depending on which exit you take). Loads of restaurants nearby, 2 stops from central station. Good breakfast with loads of options.

Lots of places to eat nearby, public transport just outside hotel. Shops walking distance. Though gym is lacking in equipment.

The check in staff member was very helpful on my arrival. There was some confusion as to whether breakfast had been included or not with my original booking via Expedia. Whilst he made a note on the system regarding this I did not want to in effect pay 'twice', so did not take breakfast in the hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff especially the staff in the breakfast room. Breakfast was very high quality and the sauna was very good.

The location was very good. We walked from the train station and to the waterfront market and to Zetor’s and other attractions. The street car provided good access to the port. The location was very good for us. The room was very small, however and the sauna was also very small and crowded.

Very welcoming check in. Well located. Happy with our stay.
