This place was awesome. Great value for the price, doesn't look like much from the outside but the room was great. Modern bathroom and enough room to cook and enjoy a meal. Having laundry and a sauna were a bonus. Would highly recommend for a solo travel stay.

This hotel is ideally located for convenience. The breakfast was genuinely fantastic. However, the room could have been a little cleaner/in better condition (e.g. the shower didn't drain quickly). The room I stayed in was on a lower floor and the city noise was a little loud but friends of mine on a higher floor didn't have that problem.

Keenly priced
We were able to check in early
Good location just 10-15 mins walk to centre
Decent sized room
Luggage storage
Superb breakfast - better than many 5 star hotels
Cons:
WiFi constantly dropped out
No kettle in room, but you could spend €3 for a pitiful tea or coffee in reception - this is just penny pinching
Shower gel dispenser was full of water - or maybe just watered down
Gym was dreadful - whoever designed it or spent the budget clearly isn’t a gym goer. Bizarre equipment.

Excellent value; clean and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had (especially the gluten-free range)
Only small niggle was that there was no obvious way to make the room dark during the short Finnish night. Didn’t bother me at all, but I can imagine that some people might have found it hard to sleep

Located across the street from a lovely market, adjacent to the water and easy access to transportation plus other great bars, restaurants and Saunas close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Clean, quiet, efficient design, responsive and supportive staff, near Metro. Location good if you know city center.
Small room, people who are heavy or who have back problems might have trouble with thin mattresses.
Oddly, taxi drivers had trouble with the name (Scandic just means Scandinavian; Hakaniemi is the area of city)
Taxi fares: in 60 Euro; out very early 52 Euro.
