This hotel was in a marvelous location for the walking tours and self exploration of this lovely city. The front desk was distant and disconnected with us. We were told there was a waiting list to get laundry done making it impossible to get any done. The breakfast had all the usual things but none of it tasted quite right. Overall this property fails to deliver on what is expected at a 4 star hotel

Parking was a nightmare. Trying to find your way through the public parking and then walking to the hotel with baggage was difficult for this older woman.

Great room, Great Breakfast, Convenient location

* please be aware there is no drop off outside the hotel unless you are in a taxi that is allowed to go into the pedestrian areas. The car park that is around the corner from the hotel is 1.90 and if your car is bigger the only car park is around 1.5 miles away. Then you have to take a taxi or shuttle bus. Bedrooms are ok, beds comfortable but pillows are very lumpy foam, hotel is very tired, hallway carpet stained, bedroom doors damaged. Just combined shampoo and shower gel. The location is the best thing about the hotel.

Avignon is dying. Not much restaurant But it’s located in between some sightseeing spots. Good to stay up to one to two nights only.

Great location , easy walk to all the historical sites

The property is very well located ( that’s why I had chosen it at the first place!). However, it’s the only positive side I can mention for our stay. This hotel does NOT meet the standards of a 4 star hotel! The room was small, there was no garbage bin in the room, nor a phone for that matter ( to call the reception!). There is no little accessories that a 4 star MUST have ( small body lotion of slippers). Besides, there is no lobby per se in this hotel to sit and have a drink! All on all our stay was very disappointing! It’s a shame because I used to appreciate Mercure hotels but I’m not sure I’ll choose this hotel in the future since the standards are not reliable.

Parking is terrible - Far away over rocks and steps

after a brief innitial misunderstanding the staff who received us was extremely helpfull and resourcefull in solving our issue with parking / our roofbox. she also recommended a lovely brasserie 3 doors down. only issue we had was getting to the hotel.

Excellent service

It’s clearly an older building but refurbished. The room is okay. Beds are very comfortable. A drinking water machine is placed outside next to the elevator, which is very good when the tapwater taste metallic. The water pressure is fine, however, the shower is quite slow; it takes a long while to wash off the soap. The location could not be better, when it is right next to the Palace.

Well located, very easy to walk around. The rooms were clean and had a good size. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly as well.

Marvelous central place on the Palais des Papes. Follow instructions of the hotel, not the Waze, who will get at the death end.

Comfortable beds, great location but terrible bathroom. You have to step over a very high frame into the bath to have a shower. The toilet was wedged into a corner and it was impossible to sit properly on it. Wonderful location next to the Palais des Papes and easy access to restaurants and shopping.

It’s good place which I like it

Nice hotel overall. Some areas were very nice, some were dingy and needed updating. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good, typical European breakfast. Loved the mango juice. Some towels were stained.
