Drei Löwen Hotel

Perfect location for the city centre, Hauptbahnhof and connection to the airport. Within walking distance of the city centre landmarks, tour buses etc. Plenty of places to eat and drink within the immediate vicinity. Hotel was nice, room allocated was comfortable and clean. No complementary bottled water provided. Bottled water was €5. The breakfast provided was good with hot and cold options provided. Staff were friendly and helpful (I needed someone to look at the TV in my room). Definitely recommend the hotel to anyone on a short visit to Munich.

Staff hardly speaking English. Downgraded after the arrival without saying anything, no apology. Difficult to get any compensation. Generally the staff very un-friendly, non-european. Cobwebs and dust in the corners of the rooms.

Lovely spacious twin room. Only 3 minutes from central station. Super helpful friendly staff.

Very nice hotel. The only complaint was being able to adjust the AC. Nice oprio s at breakfast.

The Drei Lowen hotel staff were fantastic, helpful in every way. The breakfast every morning was great and staff handling the buffet breakfast was extremely helpful. The hotel met all my expectations. The next time I am in Munich I will definitely stay at The Drei Lowen hotel.

Had an issue with our shower (easy fix). Hotel was gracious enough to give us a free breakfast as compensation for our troubles. Great location near trains and easy walk to downtown

The hotel and rooms are very clean and nice. Front desk was very quick and helpful. I note that some of the reviews comment on the neighborhood. The area around Munich Hbf is certainly grimy. This is a hotel for staying the night connecting through the train station. If you are a tourist, I would advise staying in the Altstadt, no question.

Hotel was renovated and its really convenient to walk to places and close to train station, however, area is under a lot of construction and could be a little noisy. Breakfast was good and staff helpful.

This hotel may have been nice at some point, but it is in disrepair and it is not even close to a 4 Star hotel (how it displays). It is not so bad either. It is a bed, and nice shower close to the station, so for the price it is ok. Note the area around the station is not dangerous but looks that way. It is also dirty, noisy, and very husy.

Very good bed and bathroom. Very clean. Quiet with the windows closed. Air conditioning was very effective. Area around the front of the hotel at night is unfortunately prone to people yelling at you for no particular reason possibly due to substance abuse. This is not the fault of the hotel.

They put us in a smaller room than what we booked and paid for, refused to honor breakfast where it was clearly included when we booked it on Expedia. The staff was so rude he refused to communicate with us. All he said was Expedia must had made a mistake, then he refused to communicate further. The hotel is closed to two strip clubs, stay away.

This was an excellent and modern hotel in a very convenient location to both the main train station and the main pedestrian zone. There is plenty of great dining in the area (especially if you like Mediteranean) and and charming little brewery (Schloss) a couple of blocks away. The LIDL grocery is a 5 minute walk. The breakfast was excellent with fantastic coffee. This was a great option for my Munich visit. I had ZERO complaints.

We requested 2 twin beds and were given small double with no possibility of changing. We were given a glass of wine and free mini bar as compensation for the error. Receptionist was very understanding but was unable to rectify the or

I was disappointed with my stay. I am really surprised at the hotel’s four star rating. On a positive, the bed was comfortable. Staff on check-in not welcoming, staff when checking out were okay. Staff on collection of luggage later in the day, again quite unfriendly, also made me locate the luggage room myself and didn’t even check that that the number on my receipt matched that on the bag. How secure is their left luggage room? A previous guest had half eaten a pack of M&Ms from the mini bar. I brought this to the attention of reception evening staff and was told to come back in the morning. In the morning the reception staff simply fixed the pack with a staple (Photo attached) and gave it back to me to return to the mini bar! The toilet smelt of stale urine and had dried urine splatters on the underside of the toilet seat. The shower head desperately needs a deep clean or replacing. There was no kettle, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The television is in the corridor between the bedroom and toilet. So the tv cannot be seen from the bed. But. as I said, the bed was comfortable and I did sleep well.
