Hotel Hafen Hamburg

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have walkable access to major attractions, conveniences to the subway at the Landungsbrucken station with an efficient and friendly staff. The hotel was very clean, property well maintained and it offered the most wonderful breakfasts overlooking the Elbe River.

Very friendly and helpful staff, no complaints from my instructor Mr Roy Barraclough who enjoyed his stay.

No complaints from my instructor who thoroughly enjoyed his stay. We will return.

My flight to Hamburg was late and that was not my fault so I had arrived to the Hotel at 23:00pm and the restaurant was closed and there was no for served at the Bar plus no Room Service .....

I actually wanted to stay i the.old wing.. Next time

Very nice hotel in a great location. The only issue was that it was very hot when I was there, and there is no air conditioning. But, the staff moved me to a different area of the hotel where the room was a bit cooler.

Bad room service and staff attitude.

Typical old hamburg hotel, hotel garage is convenient for very small cars only, no suv, stuff was very friendly and helpfull, old style hotel, for someone like me who loves it

Nice place for two night stay - close to train station

Rude staff, they don’t know their job very well, customer service 0, they didn’t check us in on time (at 3pm) and asked us to return later, we had a job to do and in our return at 11pm, they allocated wrong rooms (against what we paid for and asked) and said we cannot changed it and if you don’t like, you can go to another hotel. Simple! Without saying sorry! Dont expect a nice room with any view, it is a waste of money!

There is no coffee maker in the room

It is close to a grocery store, the subway and the water, so getting around is pretty easy.

I chose to stay here because it was very close to the water and had seemingly great views. It was a very close distance to the tour boats and has large stairs leading down to the river. It is a very cool property. When booking, I looked at each room and selected this one because it was the only room showing a balcony and river view. When we checked in, I was given a room with no view at all. Somewhat deceived, I called the desk and she had one to switch me into saying I had the choice (I didn’t have any choices at booking.) but I appreciated how easy it was to get what I thought I paid for! The hotel is full of fascinating maritime decor and unique pieces of history - we loved to admire the lobby and hotel bar. Parking our car was pretty in the ramp, and was located directly underneath our hotel tower. The only thing I’m bummed about it that given how I booked this hotel for the view, the tower bar was the largest part of that. It was a big draw. My ancestors emigrated out of this harbor so the view was important to me! The tower bar was closed for maintenance the two evenings we were there… we weren’t even allowed to look at it. Had I known, I would have chose a different hotel honestly. We certainly still enjoyed our stay; but we only stayed two days and one night so I was trying to make the most of it. I would recommend this hotel, and stay there again if we had access to all of the treasures.

I didn't feel I got our monies worth. No air conditioning meant opening the window and hearing the train just yards from your window. The staff was fine.

shower area too small, bad design after shower whole bath room floor wet, slippy and dagerous for guest if he/she didn't walk properly may cause injure. .

This place was great! Excellent location with amazing views from the restaurant and Tower Bar. Many bars and restaurants in a short walking distance. The Hard Rock Cafe is just down the hill, on the Landbrucke. The Reeperbahn is a short walk and has many bars and restaurants. The room even had a apple provided every day to keep the doctor away. The apple was literally on a stand with that saying below it. How cool is that? I highly recommend this hotel.
