Wonderful stay at the Blue Elephant, lovely hotel, in a beautiful location with amazing views. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was extremely clean and tidy. I will definitely be visiting again!

I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with great services. The staff were amazing, always eager to help. They helped me book some sites and tours which were great. The room was always clean and ready before l returned for day which was convenient. Conclusively, the staff and hotel made my holiday experience in Chania brilliant and l would recommend this hotel and experience for anyone.

We had such a lovely stay at Blue Elephant in Almyrida! The location is peaceful and quiet, about 45–50 minutes from Chania (CHQ) airport, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The absolute highlight was the staff – they were genuinely some of the friendliest and most helpful we’ve ever met. Communication before, during, and even after our stay was excellent, and they always made us feel so welcome. The hotel itself is very clean and calm, best suited for couples or adults. My partner loved relaxing by the pool, while I made use of the small gym (don’t expect heavy weights, but it’s great for a hotel gym). Breakfast was really good, with enough variety even for us as vegetarians/vegans. The only small thing that could be improved would be having a few more veggie/vegan options on the lunch menu, but with so many restaurants in town, it wasn’t a problem. They don’t do dinner, but again, the local options were fantastic. Overall, it’s perfect for a 5–6 day relaxing holiday. We will definitely be coming back in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break in Crete.

Everything is perfect.

We loved our stay at the Blue Elephant. The property itself is lovely, with a lovely pool that has a gorgeous view, the rooms are spacious with everything you need. We had a shared plunge pool and loved it. We never saw our neighbours who we shared it with. The staff were also fantastic, with a special shout out Kostas and Emiliano at the pool restaurant and bar area. Penny at reception was also very helpful. Everyone we encountered was friendly and lovely. There were only a few things on the very small con list and that is while the breakfast buffet was lovely, it was exactly the same everyday, no variarion at all and the milk area was kept out in a fairly warmish area - if they'd put the milk in ice that would be great! But honestly, those were small things. The town of Almyrida is lovely, with everything in walking distance. Lots of great restaurants with friendly and lovely employees. Just note that if you have a mobility impairment there is a fairly steep hill from the main drag to the hotel. It would not be an easy walk to get up. We will definitely be back, it's one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed at.

Great place to stay! I loved the (semi-)private pool in the room. The breakfast and pool were great as well. The small city down at the port is great to hang out with lot of restaurants. It is also less crowded than other areas in Crete. Really enjoyed the stay!

Nice property! Very help start. Restaurant food was delicious! Only con-the beds aren’t comfortable.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views.

Fabulous hotel in a beautiful location, the road from the airport is very twisty and narrow in places but worth it . The staff are the friendliest we’ve ever met , nothing is too much trouble, they even charged my cell phone when I couldn’t get it to work! Lovely breakfast and the rooftop restaurant is amazing, great food and ambience. We had massages which were excellent too. I highly recommend this place .

The service and facilities at the Blue Elephant Hotel were outstanding during our visit. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this Hotel to any of our friends or family!
