What Guests Say About Their Stay

I love all the amenities in this place, the swimming pools, the slides, the putt putt golf, archery, kayaking, the botanical garden. Even had the chance to watch the circus show at 730pm. My husband and I stayed for 3days and 2 nights and tried all of those things. I highly recommend this place for people with kids, they will definitely have fun! There’s also a restaurant that’s called Sunset BBQ that you can make a reservation and grill some food while watching the sunset (we didnt have a chance to try that, but if we come back, we’ll definitely try it) the rooms are just okay, nothing special. But we did stay on the standard room in Oceana A, can’t say the same about the other part of PIC.

I was shocked by the state of this hotel. The room cleanliness was lacking (stained towels, dirty bath mats), and service was non-existent—requests for basic items like tissues were ignored. The outdoor facilities are in even worse shape. The kayak area looked abandoned; there was no staff, unusable boats were cluttering the water away from the platform, and the canal water was filthy and rotting. The entire property feels old and poorly managed.

The water park and beach sports are why we stay at the PIC. My kids really loved it. We knew going in that it wasn’t going to be a luxury hotel with five star service, however I was still amazed at the level of difference between PIC and a luxury hotel. Perhaps it’s cultural difference, but in every other country that has a bellperson, that role brings luggages to your room. At the PIC, they were surprised that I expected them to. Also, there’s no longer anyone manning the lagoon for kayaks. Guests have to retrieve their own kayaks so rude guests can just jump the queue if they happen to be standing where guests done kayaking decide to leave their kayak. There is, however, enough staff to man the guardhouse to ensure guests are wearing their bracelets even if they are completely not dressed for water activity as my MIL just wanted to watch her grandchildren play for a bit. And speaking of bracelets, they want you to wear it your whole stay, which we’ve done in the Caribbean, however, those resorts provide real bracelets, not paper ones that are supposed to be disposable, which is what we received from PIC. There’s so much I didn’t like about this hotel, but I’ll be honest, nothing was such a deal breaker that I wouldn’t stay there again just cause my kids loved their pool and kayaking on the beach so much.

This resort treats its guests like suckers. Dangerous, hard balls are floating everywhere in the pool, and adults are throwing them around wherever they want, even in areas with many children, without any staff intervention. If you get hit by a ball, they just send you to the hospital with their insurance, and you're told to pay for your own medication. The room condition is the worst, and cleaning is so shoddy that there's still trash on the floor even after it's supposedly cleaned. The new towels they brought had bloodstains on them. I was horrified to see clumps of hair on the floor as soon as I entered the room. The food was tasteless, and the dishes were dirty. This is the worst resort that treats its guests like suckers.
